Hi! I'm Lilli! I'm 21 and use she/they pronouns, I'm autistic and this site is a mini safe space for me. Big thanks to everyone on here for making it that way!

A Clan of Hope and Roses...

It’s been days, the Crystalspine Reaches feel almost endless. The energy in the air and the sight of floating chunks of pink rock here and there have left you dizzy. How much longer? Wings and feet now sting from the climbing and trekking. It's been ages… But the journey is not as long as one is led to believe. The sun rests low in the sky, bathing the waving grasses in warm light. All you have seen so far is this grass, these rocks, but as you trudge forward you almost miss it. A small rose is desperately trying to climb past the other plants, you almost stepped on it. Shame. Looking back up towards the setting sun and the distance ahead it is clear that the fields will soon end, past that is the ocean. Breathing in the air brings the scent of roses through your nose, that can’t be from that one small rose… where is that coming from? You walk closer towards the source of the scent, here the grasses end. Here a roving meadow of gorgeous pink and red roses dance in the breeze, sunlight kissing the lips of soft, full flowers. It is unlike anything you have come across so far, the rest of your journey seems… worth it, but ultimately incomparable in beauty to the place which you are now standing.
A dragon senses your presence, she ventures from her cliffside home to greet you. The fire in her eyes burns bright, matching the intensity of the sun behind her. The searing emblem on her head glows faintly, moves wisp-like as she comes closer. Her wings look as though they may be a sky with thick, puffy clouds to sooth the piercing blue, the rest of her colors remind you of a city of dust and eternal warmth. The gladeboughs on her shoulders rustle in the breeze, pink like the roses she is surrounded by. This is Zaira, she speaks in a kind tone, caring and considerate. She knows you have traveled far and offers a small overhang for you to rest on during the night, you accept and she brings you to the rest of the clan. They are not completely alike, some are of different origins, some of different tempers or dispositions, but all are there for the protection and community and the family. The clan here is more than a clan, they are closer, they know everything there is to know about each other and every word is accepted. This is a place unlike all others and you can feel that. You hope to stay a bit longer, we hope that too.
