•-A strong gust of wind whisks through the bamboo, plucking up leaves and carrying them to some distant place. You'd been wandering on this forest path for quite some time, and you were starting to wonder if it would ever lead you out.
You could see the sun setting through the trees, rays of light now near eye level. You somehow knew you needed to get out before the dark, but just where was this path taking you?

Our real lives can inspire plot too, so you might want to start a journal, in case it can help with your future work. Also, as a writing test, you could rewrite an existing fairy tale or short story just to practice writing something from start to finish.
