Clan Backstory
Hydrangea, the clan's first leader, abandoned her birth clan to form her own.
Clan Traditions
Birth/Naming
The clan keeps a Nature Tome that contains information about all discovered plants of the world. New members are given their new name based on the plants that resemble their colours and patterns.
For new born dragons, a seed of their plant is planted where they were born and the plant must be looked after by their dragon for use in later ceremonies.
For dragons who have just joined the clan, a seed of their plant is planted where they were named and the plant must be looked after by their dragon for use in later ceremonies.
Coming of Age Ceremony
The dragons are showered by the petals or leaves of the plant they were named after. They must pluck one falling petal or leaf using their mouth and keep it under their tongues for one full day. During the one day they cannot talk, eat or sleep. Rather they have to sit completely still in the centre of the clan territory. After the one day the dragons then find a place that is special to their childhood, dig a small hole and bury the petal or leaf.
Union Ceremony (or marriage)
When dragons of the clan are married they are together for life. Mini-marriages are performed at intervals during the relationship as a test of the dragons' loyalty to each other.
Like the coming of age ceremony, the dragons keep a petal or leaf of their plant under their tongue. During the mini-marriages the dragons have to take oaths of trust and loyalty before exchanging the petal/leaf with their partner's and keep it under their tongue for one day. After the one day they must go to a place that is special to their relationship and bury the leaves or petals together.
The Union Ceremony requires all members of the clan attend. More oaths are exchanged between the dragons, during which they must gaze into each other's eyes unfalteringly. They are then both showered by the petals or leaves of their plants and given matching ribbons to wrap around their partner's neck or limbs.

Hey hello! I just wanted to say that I love your lore! It's so well thought out and it sounds super cute and like it could be a real dragon thing.
