FATHOM ACADEMY

Fathom Academy is a place where dragons of all flights and abilities can come and practice honing their power. Each student, upon arrival, will be assigned an elemental rune that matches their power set. The students will then learn alongside other dragons to reach their fullest potential.

Our seers have gazed into the depths of the future and have foreseen a future where all intelligent creatures coexist in a shade-free world, and the talents of each individual contributes to benefit the whole. Our teachers are striving to make this prophecy a reality by accepting both dragons and beastclans alike.

LOCATION

The Tidelord has graciously granted us a small group of islands in which we can build a successful school that will grow and extend to welcome many different dragons.

The islands themselves are built on the ancient remains of a leviathan, its bones form the foundation of our very buildings and the ground that we walk on. The islands themselves are breathtaking,
each one bears features from the elemantal reagions of Sorneith. Even if a student comes from far away,
they have a place to feel right at home in Fathom Academy.

HISTORY

Our founders, Raven and Maelstrom originally hailed from The Shifting Expanse,
where they thrived amongst a group like-minded scientists intent on discovering all the world has to offer. Unfortunately, they where driven from their home and forced to retreat to The Sea of a Thousand Currents where the Tidelord offered them sanctuary. There, Raven and Maelstrom decided to create something that would drive dragons together so no one would be forced out of their homes ever again.

Throughout this entire ordeal, Fathom Academy has continued to be supported by their sister clan,
the Voidhunters. As trade partners and stead fast allies we have supported one another through thick and thin.

Programs

Fathom Academy offers a number of programs for students to attend. Currently, our Flight Representatives and Flight Scholars programs are in full swing, with eleven students from each flight in each class.

The Flight Representatives class (

) is focused on training Representatives from each flight in the cultures and customs of the other elements. By doing this, we hope to create dragons who already have experiences and friends in each flight, and who can bring Sorneith closer together. Eleven dragons with exceptional skill in their home element were selected for this class, and so far they have grown close despite their differences. Representative classes include lessons in the skills and traditions valued by each flight as well as frequent field trips across Sorneith.

Our Flight Scholars class (

) is focused on educating dragons from each flight on the history and magic of each element. Eleven very special dragons were selected for this class. Not only were they selected for their skill in their home element, but their ability to incorporate theories and techniques from other elements to enhance their own magic. Scholar classes include lessons in magic from all elements as well as extensive historical studies. Scholars are required to create their own elementally charged tome for writing down spells and storing magic. They will use these tomes throughout their studies.

Our Staff (

) are selected specifically for their skills with elemental magic as well as their knowledge of the culture and craft from their home flight. We have teachers from every element who mentor the students and also teach general education classes.

Our Tennant program (

) allows dragons who aren’t students to stay on the islands as long as they contribute something to the school. Some of the dragons specialize in secondary elements, such a Time, Energy, Mind, etc. They typically teach seminars on subjects they specialize in and exist as a resource to the students. Any dragon can apply for the tennant progrsm, and Fathom academy often hosts temporary tenants rom other clans.
