Tale of the Clan of Five Kings

In the beginning there was one. A humble dragon in the land of Light. He came to this land in search of the light. When he arrived he set up his domain and caught the eye of a powerful female dragon. It could be said they loved each other, yet there was no time for such simplicities, as they now both were on a quest together. They journeyed across the Realm of Light, looking for the grand source. Along their way they found new friends, others like themselves that sought the light. A day came that he lead two of them, the powerful Mara and the crafty Rust into battle to become stronger. Leader that he was, he always strove to protect his clan with all his heart. Months passed. One day, amidst a great conflict the Lightweaver called to him. He had no choice but to abandon his quest and accept the invitation from his deity, much to the pain of his now large clan. They wept, but from the ashes of loss came forth five monarchs, lead by Mara, in his stead.

Sir Gilbert, a magician who came from the lands of light. His followers dabble in the arcane arts, often curious as to what the Arcane Flight may offer, but turn back, knowing they must continue their path toward the light. He lead the choice to split the clan into five leaders. They agreed, a union between them, never to divide.

Gilbert leads the Curious, the clan dedicated to the discovery and searching of new members, often leading the hunting parties for supplies as well.

Madam Mara, the powerful friend of the original seeker of Light, now had grown older and wiser, able to fight her way to the strongest beings imaginable and come back victorious. Her followers are warriors of the fiercest kind.

Mara leads the Brave, the Warriors, protectors, and general law of the Clan of Five Kings. Peace keepers, bringers, and protectors, the Brave range from descendants of Mara and her warriors to the outlying strength that finds its way in.

Rust, the thief. Long thought to not be trusted, Rust showed great prowess in battle, quickly rising to be one of the best fighters, using a strange form of ability that the others could not master. A form of broken light, jagged and twisted, but true to its original nature.

Rust leads the Silent, the clans own gatherers and outcasts, many taking the pledge like Rust to remain quiet in their duty. They often mingle with the others, but in solemn silence or making sure to blend in with the crowd. The Silent often take their time in peace, seeking redemption for sins long past.

Avalon, the alchemist. A creature born in dark, now seeking the light. Avalon is a great general, having walked from magic to hand to hand combat, she will not hesitate to use her incredible strength, even while preferring to stand aside and work under Baldwin.

Avalon leads the Wise, a sect of the clan specializing in crafting and creation of tools and clothing, as well as the study of ancient texts and impressions on the tablets found throughout the realm. The Wise are often sought for their input on certain topics and advice. Where Avalon specializes in chemistry, other members of the Wise are sought for different topics.

Foyam, the wanderer. A beautiful, yet oddly distant creature who's decisive action earned him the title of king. Simple in his choice of attire and company, Foyam held very little fire when making decisions, and was a level-headed king whom the others knew they could rely on.

Foyam leads the Bizarre, the sect of members that seem to belong no where, yet are taken under his wing to let their creativity and unique aspects flourish. Foyam is commonly seen wandering about the realm, sometimes sticking close to Avalon, as they have become close over the time spent together.

And thus, the Clan of Five Kings was born, spurn on to seek the light, in honor of their fallen first. The clan that I chronicle and observe, as hatchlings are brought and sent out into the world to follow their own path. The Clan of Five Kings grows daily, always brining new creatures to see their divine goal. Will you join us in seeking the light?
