We had no name in the beginning. There was no need when we were but a few scattered mages. As our numbers grew, it was necessary for other clans to call us by something, for the purposes of diplomacy and trade. Thus, the First Ones deemed it right to collectively call us the Council of the Shattered Moon.

The clan’s new lair is themed after the one left behind in the land of shadow, though of course some modifications had to be made. The entire area is surrounded by willow trees carved entirely out of ice and held together by delicate magic. They shimmer in the light, and when the wind blows one may hear a noise similar to the sound of soft windchimes. Within the trees hang intricately carved lanterns of many colors, giving the ice a mystical glow. The entrance is very well hidden, and an outsider would likely not find it unless guided by a clan member. In the very center of the lair lies a frozen pool, into which a vial of enchanted water has been poured. The original held prophetic abilities and was said to influence the visions of oracles, and it is the hope of the Council that this power will carry over into the new location. Far underneath it all is the Maze, a complex system of tunnels filled with traps and beings of unknown origin.

Guide to Lair Tabs

Council (upper seats): A pearlcatcher-exclusive group that takes charge of the most important council matters. Originally the entire council consisted of pearlcatchers only, most of whom were powerful mages fleeing from their home territories for a variety of reasons. Council members were known for storing extra magic within their pearls, greatly increasing the power of their spellcasting. This custom sometimes causes cracks throughout the pearl, thus leading to the official name of “Council of the Shattered Moon.”
Council (lower seats): All non-pearlcatcher members of the council, many of whom are recent additions. In the past few decades the council has allowed non-pearlcatchers into the lower seats, recognizing that talented mages can come from many places despite their lack of pearls. They take part in all but the most important of council discussions. These individuals cannot ascend to the upper seats because many rituals and customs require the use of pearls.
Council (constructs): Various intelligent beings created by council members to protect the territory. Includes any androids, golems, animated statues, etc. Most are given dragonlike forms and can generally pass as normal dragons to those unaware of their nature. They are the first defense against invaders and are quick to respond to any potential threat.
(New!) Lair of Ancients: New breeds from times long past are reemerging into the world. The Council opens its lands to the Old Ones, knowing that adapting to change is the only way to survive.

I absolutely love your XXY obsidian metallic/alloy/blue-range lace pearlcatchers!!!! They are absolutely amazing! I just got into that aesthetic and it's so nice to see people appreciating them!
