Deep In The Woods. . .
The ground begins to tremble beneath your feet. . .
What you originally perceived to be a mossy tree turns out to be an overgrown Guardian dragon, bursting from the ground with a Timber Tender treading close behind. As the verdant debris settle around him, he introduces himself with a slow respectful bow of his head.
❝ Apologies if I frightened you. . . I thought you to be a Beast. ❞
The dragon's low gravelly voice rumbled, his old cracked body thumping through the overgrowth as he moved with newfound purpose. He seemed to be far less threatening and much more endearing than you may have initially thought. . . He continues his introductory tangent ;
❝ My name is Trunk. Welcome to the OakLeaf Outpost, my Home and Charge. ❞
The elder explains that he established the outpost after finding a myriad of lost dragons within the Viridian Labyrinth, taking it upon himself to protect this small part of the forest and everyone who lives within it. After his long story, he offers you shelter from the dark night ahead — though he prefaces his rather generous proposal with a small warning. . .
❝ Everyone who passes through our home is to be met by the Queen Monarch. . . ❞
Leaning closer, conveying his words in a hushed tone, he says ;
❝ One would be wise to watch their step around her. . . Fair — but Formidable. . . ❞

Through an archway of vines and leaves you arrive at the rural Village, Trunk bringing you to the Outpost to introduce you to Nebula, his mate and Monarch. They greet each other with an affectionate display before Trunk bids his farewell and turns to leave the way you came.
Having been nose deep in her books and scrolls, the dragoness took her time tucking everything away neatly before turning her attention towards you. Regardless of her fondness for Trunk, his good-natured habit of bringing home lost souls came with it's follies. Strict scrutinization of strangers was necessary in order to keep her family and flock safe from danger.
❝ I trust you are here for something, other than trouble I hope. . . ❞
