Itxaro's Clan

The Itxaro Clan. A clan founded by Neneka: a female guardian from Dragonhome. Loosely translated, it means a Clan of Hope.

Neneka was hatched and raised in Dragonhome She grew up under the looming shadow of the shattered pillar. Knowing the lore of her ancestry well from the ever present pillar in her childhood, it was difficult to not become slightly depressed and despaired under its constant presence and reminder. Yet, Neneka was a child of strong character. She was always a nurturing individual, but with a strong sense of humble confidence. When she came of age, and the Charge and the Search boiled strongly through her veins, she took off from her homeland to wander in search of her charge. Her search would lead her to Starfall Isles in search for an answer, for she had Hopes and Dreams, that she determined to see through. Hopes and Dreams inspired from her overshadowed childhood. She was not content to accept the world as it was; she was certain their was a better future for all, even if that meant she had to start with herself and create it.

Thus that is how the Itxaro Clan was born. In the land of Starfall Isle, Neneka found her Charge. Her Search was over. It was not an individual or a place: it was Dreams. She became a Guardian of Dreams. A Protector of Hope. Therefore, she created an open clan for all, called Itxaro. A clan for those who hope and dream, those you are seeking a hope and dream, those who are different, those who are lost, those needing a place to belong. those needing refuge: a home for Hope of Dreams. A clan where Neneka can protect and the Dreams of her fellow clanmembers -and her own.

En-route to Starfall Isle, Neneka had to pass through the Sacred Wasteland. While braving those lands as a single and relatively young dragoness, she came across a gravely injured mirror dragon. He was slightly older than she, and was near death by hideous wounds to his core. Despite being alone and unable to tend to harms properly, Neneka could not let a fellow dragon perish in front of her. Slipping the male dragon onto her back, she rushed through the plagued lands of the Wasteland to reach Starfall Isle. Seeking refuge for herself and this stranger to tend, the CrystalSpine Reaches were deemed a safe haven to rest. Finding an cove big, enough, to slip the injured dragon into, Naneka set to guard him and tend to his injuries, while working on a Liar that was big enough for herself.

The injured male was named Wafi. Like many of his kind, he was not the most friendliest of dragons. He watched Neneka with suspicion and was prone to growl, or snap, at her, when she came to tend to his harms. Despite his aggressive behavior, Neneka nurturing nature tended to him nonetheless as a fellow dragon. It took quite the time to heal Wafi, and through that time, Wafi's dropped his guard and loyalty began to spring for the Guardian Dragoness. She was a creature of action, more than words, and the words she spoke, she spoke carefully and with purpose and with confidence. It was a demeanor that the Mirror Dragon could respect and did, which budded an intense loyalty to Neneka and her cause. For during their interactions, Neneka would speak of her Dreams and Hopes, and questions she had, and answers she found in this Land of Arcane: Starfall Isles. All the while Neneka worked on endlessly her Liar in the crystal to provide better shelter for Wafi and herself.

Once Wafi was able to tend to himself, and healed, he had no longer the desire to leave. For a dragon with little to no dreams and hopes, Neneka had inspired him a plenty. It was a long friendship until the fierce loyalty and selfless protection and actions by Wafi that Neneka started to notice her companion more than just a close friends. It would take years, as Neneka was not known for her quickness in anything, till the two confessed their romantic emotions and intent to eachother.

Needless to say, once Neneka had found her Charge and the Search was over, Wafi and their brood of children were the very first members of her Clan: Clan Itxaro.

Life was pleasant at the Starfall Isles, yet, it was quite a busy place. A pace and place too busy for the Neneka. Wafi ventured out, while Neneka incubated their unborn hatchlings, promising to find the perfect place for them to raise their children and a founding location to welcome members for their Clan. Wafi barely returned in time for the hatching of their children, but a place was found in the Everbloom Gardens of the Viridian Labyrinth. The reigning deity, and his profound lands, were a haven for Neneka. Her personal beliefs and personality aligned contently with this Flight. It was the perfect location to raise her young and to seek members for their Clan. For the first time, she felt at home and free of the shadows of her childhood. Thus Clan Itxaro took root and began to blossom from the Gardens of Everbloom in the heart of the Virdian Labyrinth. A home that Neneka, Wafi, and their children are forever thankful for.
