Clan Info
Clan Ranks and Roles
-Chieftain – The leader of the clan. There is not always a Chieftain, but when present there is only one. When there is no Chieftain present, Council Dragons discuss with the Grand Dragon/s and come to conclusions through debate or vote. Otherwise, the Chieftain may take advice from Grand Dragon/s and Council, but their word is final.
-Grand Dragon (Master/Mistress/Honourable) – Highly respected members of the clan who are in charge of running plans, being the voice of the people, and organizing the clan for events. There are usually one to four. A dragon cannot be both Chieftain and Grand Dragon.
-Retiree – A disabled/elder dragon who has retired from a high rank in the clan through the approval of the Grand Dragon/Chieftain. They are highly respected, and are given the opportunity to obtain a position on the Council if they desire.
-Council Dragons – Members of the clan chosen to represent the clan and discuss/make decisions on their behalf. They plan activities and debate current events and issues. Retired dragons are instantly granted this title, and are free to accept the title at any time if they wish. Grand Dragons are automatic Council Dragons.
-Healer – Member who specialises in healing. Healers are also often responsible for being Faith Keeper of the clan, even if the practice of healing itself is secular.
-Faith Keeper - These dragons act as a connection to the faith/faiths kept by the clan. They can be gifted in different areas of Faith, such as clairvoyance or spirit communication. Often the Faith Keeper is also the Healer, as this is a practical skill to learn, and is easy to specialise in.
-Trove Keeper – Protector of treasures and valuables of the clan and its members.
-Librarian – Protector of documents and tomes of the clan and its members.
-Scouts/Warriors – Dragons who look out for any danger, and are active in defending the clan.
-Hunters/Gatherers – Dragons who search for resources.
-Local Dragon – No official title. They may have self-explanatory titles such as ‘Trader’ or ‘Builder,’ or ‘Work Free.’ These Dragons are sometimes given temporary, semi-permanent or permanent roles by the higher ranks which can change at any time.
-Student – An Apprentice of any Dragon.
