Born and bred in the heart of The Abiding Boneyard, the clan has long since moved and has now taken refuge amongst the shadows of The Wispwillow Grove and of their HomeTree


The Ominous Woods biome is a dark, heavily wooded biome with scattered pools of dark purple water found within the confines of Driftwood Drag’s more swampy marshy regions.




Within the confines of the Ominous Wood’s, lie what are known as Umbran (oo-bran) tree’s. Umbran Tree’s are magnificently tall tree’s with a appearance akin to what appear to be a hybrid mix of Mangrove and Redwoods tree’s, recognized by their dense tangle of thick prop roots that make the trees appear to be standing on stilts above the water.

The circumference of an Umbran Tree varies between tree to tree, with some growing great enough to house dozens of clan members at a time. Umbran tree’s are naturally honeycombed with natural hollows and alcoves with a variety of other vegetation growing in and around it such as moss, mushrooms and various other sorts of flora. This natural hollowing allows members of a clan to live peacefully with their own spaces, or communally with each other in a singular space, leaving room for other activities.

Hometree itself is over 150 meters tall and its diameter is many times that of a giant sequoia. Its interior is distinguished by a massive helical core and boasts multiple levels, with It's hollow base being supported by mangrove-like roots. Within this base there are many columns, creating a large central area. In this central area the branches and limbs of the tree form a natural spiral staircase, which Surprisingly none of the dragons, besides the Snappers seem to use, Many preferring to fly instead of walk, while others fly to lessen the potential damage that could be done to the root system.

The Clan is renowned among the Locals for its fierce warriors, skilled hunters and virtuous fighters. The clan's members rely heavily on their keen senses and predatory instincts for survival. Their statuesque presence, brute strength, astute sense of hearing and sharp eyesight enable the Members of the clan to walk the land without fear. Sure and light-footed, a Member goes easily undetected.

The most experienced warrior can stalk their prey with such precision that the hunted scarcely realizes its danger before it is too late.

Amongst these dragons, is their leader, Saegar, a powerful and respected war hero whose grim persona and stern leadership have earned him a place of high regard within the clan. In addition to his formidable talents as a warrior and his uncompromising leadership skills.

Despite his relatively cold demeanor, he is well respective and well loved by all who live and breath within the clans territory boundaries. Even prey have high respect for him.

He has a wife and two sons.

His wife Asali acts like his better half, She is very wise and is often consulted by Saegar before he makes important decisions for the group. She is also very caring, often having kind words for the other animals when they need comforting.

Their oldest son Finley was born right before his parents left the wasteland and traveled to The Tanglewood. From a very young age, Finely showed an amazing amount of courage which the other animals said he got from his father. However he is bold, and often has more bravery than common sense, which gots him into trouble many times throughout his life.

Second youngest of Asail and Saegar sons is Hekari. “Hek” is a rather kind and caring guy, who is sweet enough to give you a toothache. Suave and also a smooth talker, he tends to catch the attention of most of the females in his clan, however it's his brother that tends to bring home the females. He was the youngest of the litter, until mihlos came along, smaller than the rest and easily picked on; that was typical, if you couldn’t survive being in the clan, you wouldn’t survive out in the open. Perhaps, the best thing that he had were his brains. Yes, he would admit that he wasn’t the strongest, easily pushed aside by any of the clan members, but he was smart and he knew how to escape from a skirmish.

Then there was his brother: Finely.

Finley possesse’s a close familial bond with younger brother. However, he is overly confident in his strength and bravery, confusing this for good character and thus leading to arrogance, a trait that had caused him to struggle with his loved ones. Especially his brother. When Saegar started training Fin for his role of being leader of the clan after Saegar’s death, the bond between brothers began to strain, mostly cause Slath tended to let the thought of ruling everyone go to his head and started to drift slowly away from his younger brother, little by little. (At least as far as he knows)

Although, there are times that when Hek was being picked on, his brother would come to the rescue, even today he isn’t quite sure how to regard his older brother:

with love or with a hiss?


Warriors



Ninja also known as Big Boss, is Saegar second in command, and has a innate desire for conflict, mostly because that was the only thing he truly knew, having been exposed to combat at a fairly young age. Ninja often views subjects from a military perspective such as using environmental landmarks to set traps, and identifying with aspects of other clans. He was also sometimes compassionate and forgiving towards his friends and enemies. During his youth, he was also willing to sacrifice himself for his Land and territory if need be, although where his loyalties lie comes into serious question at times.

However it was through his job that he found Kato

Femme Fatale, Spy and Mate to Ninja, Kat tends to uses her feminine charm to her advantage using it to infiltrate ranks, as well as using her wit and charm to elicit countless secrets. Despite her job as a female agent, Kato genuinely loves him, even going as far as to sabotaging some of her own missions if it means he'll be safe.

Shamans

Taken in by Saegar when they were nothing more then Traveling Fortune tellers, Ostara and her mate are much beloved by their clan. Acting as their shaman, their healer, and a grandmotherly figure. Ostra prefers using words to solve disputes. However, if either her or her mate are threatened, she is quick to display her considerable prowess. An accomplished sorcerer And soothsayer, her specialty is in nature manipulation - control of flora and fauna (especially fauna). She is quite a expert when it comes to medicine, and is accomplished in "healing magic", as well as having a extensive knowledge of medicinal herbs. An often quiet observation kind of Fae.

Gealach might seem as passive. That is not true. He will take action before saying something as time is of the essence for all of life. Under his quiet exterior he has a great sense of justice and protection over those he cares for. He acts as the clans Necromancer, using the dead as the means to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge, or if push comes to shove, using the deceased as a weapon. He also plays the role of the clans grandfather.

Beliefs
While a majority of the clan is not as particularly religious as most clans are, the clan do have a selective few gods that they pray to every now and then. While they all pray to a main God, the ShadowBinder, many members of the clan, especially the Faes or dragons who have a more diverse background compared to others, revert to polytheism and pray to much smaller unknown gods as well as their main God.



Along with many new gods to pray to, the range and diversity of many different cultures lead to many new rituals being performed within the clan
