This Week On Emberglow Heart:

Innakhaa goes to Dashaghraak and tells her about Zorathaskha's egg. Dashaghraak orders Innakhaa not to tell anyone, but to watch Zorathaskha closely. She also tells Innakhaa that she will be captain of a new Coliseum team, and leading Havrasuuh and Khreghazra.

Yorath shows particular aptitude for painting, and offers to retouch the design on Noira's wings. Noira agrees, but tries to discourage Yorath's flirting, reminding him that she is too old for him. Yorath tells her she is perfect.

Last Week On Emberglow Heart:

The clan takes a dryad as a familiar. Zorivix is intrigued, especially when she finds that the dryad can speak Fae Sign. She pleads with Dashaghraak to take charge of the new familiar.

Valkhae grows anxious when Zorathaskha keeps disappearing for long stretches of time. Eventually she follows the Coatl to the Nesting Grounds, where she discovers that Zorathaskha is tending an egg. Zorathaskha confesses that the father is Hekteruun and implores Valkhae not to tell. Valkhae promises, but on her way back to the clan caves Innakhaa intercepts her and demands to know what Zorathaskha is doing.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Khreghazra tries to sneak into the coliseum on her own, but is barred. Zorathaskha finds her and brings her home, but agrees not to tell her mother. Havrasuuh becomes secretive, working deep in his private cave for long hours. Zaelarrak, concerned, investigates, and finds several bloodstained pieces of machinery.

Hekteruun begins seeing images from his nightmares during the day. During one of these episodes, he badly frightens Valkhae, cornering her alone. Zorathaskha intervenes, distracting him into sleeping with her.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Dashaghraak adopts two new clan members. Zorivix is curious, and investigates all her new clan members. Valkhae is charmed, but Zorathaskha is irritated, complaining of Zorivix's monotone. The Fae dragon seems particularly interested in Innakhaa, who growls at her but ultimately does not chase her away.

Yorath is homesick on his first night, and Noira goes to comfort him. Yorath declares that he loves Noira, and asks if he can be her mate. Noira replies that he is too young for a mate. Yorath vows to grow up quickly.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Khreghazra is growing up fiercely, and Innakhaa resents her even more. Khreghazra asks Dashaghraak when she will be allowed to join the Coliseum, and Dashaghraak assures her it will be soon. Innakhaa hears, and tells Noira soon she will be replaced. Noira disagrees, and Innakhaa goes away in a temper, swearing that she will keep her place in the clan.

Zaelarrak reconnects with an old friend, and takes in a new baby. Valkhae is shy but sweet, and makes friends with Zorathaskha, though the boys scare her--especially Hekteruun, who takes an interest.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

It's a girl! Dashaghraak is overjoyed, and calls baby Khreghazra her little princess. The entire clan welcomes her with much excitement, but Innakhaa swears she hates the new baby for taking her place away.

Mihuruu tells Havrasuuh they should be friends with their little sister, but Havrasuuh isn't sure. They go to play with Khreghazra, but she rejects Mihuruu and announces that Havrasuuh is her favorite.

Noira's magic grows as she battles in the Coliseum, but Hekteruun becomes more erratic. Zaelarrak tells Dashaghraak that he's becoming too dangerous, but Dashaghraak is determined to discipline him through fighting.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Noira asks to join the Coliseum team after Innakhaa is injured. Dashaghraak is skeptical at first, but in battle Noira reveals she can use powerful magic. Hekteruun looks at her with interest. Innakhaa becomes anxious over Noira, and over the new egg. She tells Hekteruun she hopes it is another boy.

Havrasuuh pesters Hekteruun in fun, but Hekteruun lashes out and injures the younger dragon. Zorathaskha calms Hekteruun, but Zaelarrak worries that there is something wrong with the Spiral dragon.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Because the clan needs females, Dashaghraak agrees to grant Noira's petition, but only on a probationary basis. Noira joins the clan as the lowest in the hierarchy.

Havrasuuh starts fights with his brother to gain his mother's attention. Dashaghraak begins to approve of his drive to succeed, but Mihuruu feels hurt.

Zaelarrak comes home in his new scales, and Dashaghraak is astonished, but intrigued. They conceive another egg, and Zaelarrak hopes this one will be a girl.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Innakhaa excels in the Coliseum, and bonds with Hekteruun over their victories. Dashaghraak is pleased to see their fighting improve.

The clan is astonished when a new dragon petitions to join. Noira is elegant and soft-spoken, but she has been alone for a long time. Who is this mysterious dragon?

After another argument with Dashaghraak, Zaelarrak undergoes crystal gene therapy. Will his new look capture Dashaghraak's interest once more, or will she only be infuriated by the cost?

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Dashaghraak takes Zaelarrak and Innakhaa to the Coliseum. Innakhaa is fascinated, but Zaelarrak finds the violence offensive. He objects to Dashaghraak's plan to take Hekteruun to the arena later, but she dismisses his worries, believing the activity to be good for the young clan members.

The twins Havrasuuh and Mihuruu keep to themselves. Zorathaskha goes to see if they will play with her. They eventually warm up to her, and confide in her. Mihuruu is wary of his mother's disapproval, but Havrasuuh is determined to prove himself.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Dashaghraak brings home a new baby, Zorathaskha. Innakhaa makes fun of her for her musical way of speaking, but Hekteruun says he likes it and it calms him.

The eggs have hatched! Zaelarrak is initially so happy about the twin boys, but Dashaghraak is disappointed. She tells Zaelarrak that she wants someone strong to be her heir, and a clan ruled by a male will never be strong. She warns him that she needs a daughter, or a new mate.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

Dashaghraak's clan grows. Innakhaa declares to Hekteruun that she is going to be the next clan leader, and she'll fight anyone to prove it. Hekteruun asks if he can be her consort, and Innakhaa says she will allow it, if he cleans himself up.

Zaelarrak worries that Dashaghraak has become distant because she no longer finds him attractive. He sees other dragons getting new crystal gene therapy in the city, and wonders if that will help him win back Dashaghraak's affections.

The Previous Week On Emberglow Heart:

We meet Dashaghraak, newly come from her mother's clan and seeking to build her own. In her journey to Emberglow Hearth, she meets Zaelarrak, who follows instantly after, and becomes her mate. They have their first clutch, two eggs, and the clan has begun!

Along the way, they find and adopt two new clan members. Little Innakhaa is all alone, but fierce, and now fiercely loyal to her adoptive mother. Baby Hekteruun is sweet and happy, but why was he left wandering in a crowded city?
