Plecostomus, also known as suckermouth catfish or simply "pleco" are a large tropical catfish that belong to the Loricariidae family. There are many different breeds of pleco; bristlenoses, gold nuggets and sailfins are just a few.
Plecostomus are common pets amongst fish keepers and will commonly be found at local fish stores.
Call me weird, but I am a sucker (heh) for plecos! Ever since I was a child, we had a pleco named "Spotty", I adored the big guy, and my love for them hasn't faded since!
I don't know about everybody else but the addition of plecos as a food item alone made me extremely happy (and I am now hoarding them :3) but a familiar would make my year!
It's not only me who love them. As stated before, plecostomus are popular aquarium fish and, to be frank, absolutely adorable (albeit in a derpy way) adorable to a lot of fishkeepers.
Not to mention the beautiful spotted pattern covering the fish's body. Perhaps I am bias, but I'd love to be able to give my dragons one of their own. Changed up a little, of course.
Bias aside, I personally think that it would be a cute addition to the Bestiary, and besides, even if you're personally not a fan of them, more familiars are always good. ^-^
