(please subscribe to this thread :D, and use THIS as the OOC thread :D Btw, Kit is just silently taking all luggage into the back of the bus right now, so feel free to use them to do that :D)

Those who have been chosen, those who are Gifted are all filtered onto a small yellow school bus. The side just has the words 'Gifted Academy' etched into it with paint. Any luggage the students want to take with them has been shoved into the back of the bus, leaving only the seats closer to the front free for others to sit. Though something is a bit off about the bus. The front seat is completely empty.

Kit actually stands on the bus, near the back where the luggage is being stacked, carefully putting luggage where it needs to go. When all the students arrive, they plan on talking to everyone. Telling everyone here a bit about themself and introducing everyone to what they would be doing. They seem stoic and tall, their face pinched slightly into a stern mask as they await everyone to come aboard.

As they enter, they will see there are exactly two seats per row, and not enough space for them to sit alone. So they will have to make a decision quickly as to who to sit with.

(Kit will sit with someone if they do not have a partner to sit with)

_____

Angela is first to be allowed on the bus, and she wheels herself towards the doorway, staring at the steps which lead upwards for her. Kit approaches and takes her suitcase, pausing to look at her chair awkwardly as if they weren't exactly sure what to do.

Angela waved them off and taps the wheelchair's arm.

"Gary?"

The wheelchair whirrs and makes a sound like a horn honking before changing shape. The amalgamate of metal hums and buzzes, forming two very lumpy, awkward-looking leg-like shapes which extend downwards from the nubs that are her legs. She stumbles forward when Gary is done taking the form of her legs, awkwardly allowing the metallic creation to control her movements as she stumbles up the steps as if she's drunk. Gary wasn't really the best at walking up things like stairs.. though he could run and jump just fine. Angela had a feeling that this was because he didn't really have depth perception.

Awkwardly managing to make her way up the steps, she plopped down in the seat and relaxed, sighing as Gary shifted again, pulling away from her leg nubs and forming in her lap as what appeared to be a small metallic humanoid. The size of a toddler, mouthless, with a camera for eyes, awkward pointed arms and legs and a fat stomach, he was probably strange to look at.

She only pat him on his head gently as he made strange blipping sounds at her.

Content he was fine like this, Angela takes her backpack from her back and plops it to her right, against the window, digging through it to pull a handheld gaming system, and what looks like Simon. Handing Simon to Gary, she watches as the tiny creature sprouts hands, happily booping and grasping at the game. The colors light up and Gary is fascinated, copying the patterns and trying to match the booping noises with his own. Happy Gary is sufficiently distracted, Angela slides her bookbag under the seat so its not in her way anymore and turns on her own system, humming with a smile on her face.

___________

Birds.. stinking birds. He could feel them everywhere.. hanging out on the wires far above the bus like they owned the place, pecking at trees, even darting about through the air. It was still rather uncomfortable to feel them when they decided to feed their young.. but it wasn't really something he could just turn off, as much as he wanted to.

Max sighed as he watched Kit take his luggage inside the bus and sighed as all of his things were shoved somewhere in the back corner. Too late, he realized he should have brought something to do on the bus. Who knows how long the ride will be, considering most think its through another dimension or something.

He squared his shoulders and brushed his hair absently through his poofy hair. He pushed onto the bus, passing a girl with a.. robot baby?? sitting on her lap playing Simon. Well.. that was.. something alright. He also took note of the lack of driver, wondering if the guy shoving their things onto the bus was going to be the one to take their

Moving to a seat closer to the back, Kit gave him a weird look as he sat near the isle. Max gave Kit a controlled and very gentle nod before he stared straight ahead at the seat before him.

Having gotten to where the bus was going to pick them up rather early, mainly because he was rather excited to be going to a facility that he might never return from again like in the scary movies he always watched, he was very close to the front of the string of students making their way onto the bus. Okay, Alister had to admit that there was a very small chance that this place would be some sort of horrifying labyrinth of passageways and monsters. But a guy could hope, right? Well, he supposed that he could add in the monsters himself, if need be. Oh! Maybe he could turn this place into a terrifying haunted facility himself! Eh, probably not the best idea considering people at big facilities usually don't like having those facilities hostilely taken over. He'd save his world domination plans for another time then.

Wait! Did that mean he wouldn't be able to go to the haunted house next year? A feeling of utter sadness washed over him in that moment. And he has some awesome ideas for it too! Somehow going to some creepy facility now left a bitter taste in his mouth. That would also mean no ghost tours or going to see new horror movies! This was the worst thing ever! Well, at least they had let him bring along his collection of scary movies. Monster Movie Mondays would still live on!!

His internal conflict immediately subsided as Alister climbed the steps of the bus and looked towards the first seat. Sitting there was a girl about his age who honestly looked...well, very cute wouldn't have been good way to describe her. More like one of those girls who he didn't have a shot with because they only dated football stars and not some dork who loves scary movies. Yeah, that was a better way to describe her. But he was never one to really let that stop him from at least trying to meet someone new. Especially, when he noticed the cool, but slightly creepy, little robot that was sitting on her lap. All hesitance he had before that was tossed out the window and he removed his backpack before taking the seat next to her.

"Hello! That's a super cool robot you have there. Oh, and you don't mind if I have this seat, do you?" He greeted as he set his backpack in front of him. The last part was kind of tossed in there as an afterthought since he supposed that he should ask even though he had already sat down. His typical dorky smile appearing on his face as he made the greeting before going right back into talking about the robot thing. "It looks like some kind of expensive movie prop for some kind of 'robots taking over the world' kind of movie. How in the world did you find something like this? I don't even recognize what movie it is from!" His enthusiasm was very apparent as he watched the robot play with a pattern game, as that is what he assumed it did. Honestly, talking to this girl really wasn't all that nerve wracking since she had this little robot. If only all girls had robots with them.

Asha stood with the other ‘freaks’, trying to hide as much as possible in her jacket. Her hood was up, and her grey jacket was zipped all he way up, despite it not actually being that cold. White tufts of faux fur poked out of the hood of her jacket and shifted and danced in the wind. She looked quite like a sullen teenager with her downcast face and closed off stance, but Asha truly didn’t care at the moment.

She gave a small smile to the man putting the bags away. Always good to be friendly to your instructors. Asha quickly grabbed her latest embroidery project, some needles, and some string from her bag, then dropped her bag with the others. Embroidery was a strange hobby, but it was her own. She went to board the bus, but stopped to get a final glance at the town. How could she leave everything she knew, everything that was normal, for whatever madness awaited her? But even still, she was part of that madness now. With a sigh, Asha turned and boarded the bus.

She took notice of the pair up front, and the lack of a driver. Perhaps the man atop the bus would be driving? Asha put her hood down, suddenly tired of having it up, and sat in a seat close to the middle of the bus. She noticed a guy sitting alone in the back, but he didn’t seem to want to be bothered, and Asha didn’t feel like trying to start a conversation, or sitting awkwardly in silence for that matter, so she didn’t sit next to him. She began to work on stitching a cute puppy into the fabric, making up the design as she went along.

forever rambling
He knew he was fidgeting way to much even standing outside the bus. His legs would shake or he would bounce slightly, all a result of how extreme his anxiety currently was an apparently his 'gift' was loving it. Percy kept from sighing or making any noise really as e briskly hopped up onto the bus and looked for where to sit in a split second and taking a few mental notes. Quiet a few other kids, no driver, and only one adult. Great.

This was insane. He didn't want to leave home, he didn't want to fight anything. He was being thrown into something he never asked for, something he never wanted all because of an unfortunate accident which he still kept shoved out of his mind even now. Even so, he let the man take his slightly bigger backpack, keeping his little one to himself.

Once he was free to take a seat, he quickly went to the back and plopped down without thinking much, noticng with a slight glance he'd accidentally sat next to another boy. 'Hopefully someone who will be fine as long as i leave him along' he thought as he pulled a rubix cube out of his bag-- one that looked past the point of no return-- and began flipping it around at a slightly abnormal pace due to his anxiety still being present heavily. He wouldn't be able to read or play a game, he couldn't think very straight or currently chill himself out enough to be able to focus on them at the right pace. Silently he began flipping it around subconsciously fixing it while trying to keep himself grounded. Maybe the boy next to him would be happy with being left alone.

Stepping up onto the bus while looking around curiously, Ozma gave his luggage to the only present adult-- well 'adult' adult, technically he could be considered one given his age, and there could be others of a similar age but still. It did seem a bi cruel to be shoving everyone into such a small space, they were all new to this after all and no doubt uncomfortable. Making them sit in close quarters before getting used to each other seemed like it could end badly, but who was he to say. Everyone here did seem fairly friendly or calm.

Not like anyone cared how they were all treated anyways though. The world saw them as no better than animals-- something to set apart from themselves and keep contained. They weren't allowed to live on their own accord, not anymore. He didn't doubt they'd likely have their freedoms within wherever they were going, but it wouldn't really be freedom. They didn't get a choice in this. Guess he shouldn't complain though, were they given a choice he would have still come anyways.

Maybe other humans didn't deserve it, but he wasn't the type to put himself first. Even in the face of them looking down on everyone here... he couldn't just let people die. Of course that could just make him seem odd.

He silently took a seat behind the girl with her metal toddler and the other raving about monster movies, slightly amused that at least some people hadn't lost themselves. Ozma looked out the window of the bus, content to just listen to the various chatter about the small area.

((Omg I love Alister already))

Maybe this whole going to fight evil monsters thing is a ruse, was Gene’s first thought as she stood in the line of teens waiting for their turn to step onto the bus. Maybe they’re just lining the gifted up to dispose of them, hiding all the murders under a shiny “protecting the public” package. As much as she might want to run it’s not like she could, there isn’t really anywhere she could run to. She sighs heavily as she trudges up the stairs, hoping that her siblings would be able to visit, although judging by the way she left they probably wouldn’t want to anyways.

She runs a hand through her slightly faded hair as she steps on the bus, wondering idly if she’d ever be able to dye it again. Clutching her one and only bag to her chest, her battered headphones blasting music in a vain attempt to distract her from the current predicament. She glances around the bus, counting the number of free seats and well crap. No matter what she’s going to be stuck with some surely nosy seatmate who’ll want her to spill her whole life story in the first five minutes of knowing her. Well it’s not like it can get any worse.

Without a word or a look she takes a seat, which just so happens to be the one shared by a boy staring out the window. The two teens in front of them, another boy and a girl with a small metal doll seem to be chatter, but she picks nothing up through the drums and heavy base pounding in her ears. She nods at the boy next to her slightly, in case he happens to be paying attention, and turns down her music in case the other teens around her happen to be able to hear it. Never really the best at starting conversations, Gene stays silent, waiting for her seatmate to begin the conversation.

Angela was busy spamming the A button frantically, trying to jam through text she'd seen a thousand times before. She just wanted to speed through this portion of the game so she could choose the other option and then see where the branching path went from there. It was really intriguing, the patterns and choices she could make in this world always created such differences. And in real life it was like that too, except she couldn't go back to a different save file.. or start a new game.

A voice drew her from her game and she paused it quickly, lowering it as she gazed at the newcomer. He was very very tall.. waaaay taller than shed ever be, well except for if she asked Gary to give her legs for days. Pale, skin, crazy blonde hair, thick glasses, and a heck of a lot of piercings. She found her eyes drawn to them, eyes focusing on the shiny objects for a minute, spacing out as she wondered where he'd gotten them.

Then she knocked back into reality and let a broad and warm smile light up her features like the sun. "I don't mind at all. I hear we are going to be together for a bit, so its totally cool with me if we hang out here."

She grasped her portable gaming system and resumed the game, flicking to a checkpoint, saving and stowing it in one quick movement. No use wasting the battery, and she certainly didn't want to be rude.

A little giggle escaped her mouth as the boy compared Gary to a robot from a movie. She shook her head. "Actually.. his.. erm. its name is Gary." She nodded. "He's a manifestation of my power.. kinda. Goes everywhere with me. He can be a bit of a handful sometimes you know?"

Gary was completely content with his game, booping and beeping happily as the colors and lights moved faster and faster, with his nimble little fingers following suit.

"Oh, I'm Angela by the way." She smiled, holding out her hand to him. "Nice to meet you."

Sitting near the isle, he'd seen a lot of the others come on the bus, a tall boy, two girls and then another boy.. and finally a boy that came right to the back.

Max scooted his legs up as the boy went to sit next to him, the boy perching by the window. He blinked blankly at the newcomer, not really sure what to do with himself. He'd not really been prepared to talk to other people about anything. He was paranoid about what might happen if they asked how he got his power. And he'd have to admit that he got it being attacked by a bird.

Ugh.. it was so embarrassing.

Still, he should at least try and talk to the guy?? He seemed anxious from the way he was flopping around his rubix cube violently like some kind of crazy person.

"Are you.. feeling okay? You don't get bus sick do you?" If he did, Max was probably going to go sit elsewhere, not looking forward to someone vomiting next to him. He awkwardly adjusted his legs under the seat. "Or.. are you.. upset about leaving home?" the latter seemed so much more likely..

It had actually taken Max some time himself to be fully acceptant of his status and the ridiculous ridicule his friends had given him because of it. They'd laughed so hard, one of them had his event too. He wasn't sure where that friend of his went.. but it wasn't anywhere near him, that was for sure. Kind of a bummer honestly, it would have been nice to have a friendly face around.

Kind of a bummer honestly, it would have been nice to have a friendly face around.

He stopped flipping the rubix cube then the other boy spoke, mind cutting off and starting to pick through all the things to say and how to respond. Slowly this time, he started to flip it again and glances at the other boy, "Ah-- no, i'm okay. Motion sickness is the least of my worries..." A speedster with motion sicnkess, now that would be pathetic. At least he wasn't that bad... "I'm just anxious, sorry.."

He slowly forced himself to stop with the cube and scooted closer to the window to create more room for the other boy, regaurdless if he actually needed it or not. He didn't want to be a bother... "I can stop if you want. I don't want to anmoy you or anything i mean... this is overwhealming for everyone so it doesn't have to be annoying on top of it." Granted without a distraction the ride would be tedious for him until he calmed down, but like before he didn't want to upset the other boy.

"Um... sorry i guess i should have intoduced myself. My name's Percy..." his aunt would been ashamed to see him forget his manners so quickly.

Ozma glanced at the girl next to him, noting that by the looks of it she didn't look like she wanted a conversation. He wondered if her hair was just out of the moment or if she prefered the color. She looked to be closer to his age-- maybe a year younger or older.

He smiles at her when she nods to him, giving her a breif nod back, but choosing not to interupt her music. If she wanted to talk she'd probably have taken her headphones out, so for the time being he was content to sit and listen. Didn't seem like she wanted others to hear her music though given how she turned it down.

Instead he leaned against the window slightly and let green whisps of his gift flick and weave between his fingers. He didn't know i they were allowed to use their gifts though, so he allowed the color to flicker out of exsistance before pulling a book out of the bag at his feet. He gave the girl a brief 'i'm open to conversation if you want to talk' look before tuning his attention back to the book and starting to read.

Adrielle's expression showed one thing and that was that she was not happy at all. She didn't want to come here, and the journey to this bus (this stupid bus, she thought sourly) had been one filled with pleading, kicking, and generally making as much noise as humanly possible. Naturally, now that she was in the full view of other people, she was much calmer, but the glower in her blotched eyes was not fading. She despised this sudden change.

Getting onto the bus, she noted who was sat where. Try not to look like you were crying, she scolded herself, You don't want these people to think you're a baby, do you? She handed her suitcase to the person at the back with a glare.

She didn't particularly want to sit with any of them, which was lucky because there was one row left that lay empty. Here was to hoping that nobody arrived. She sat down at the window, turning her head to look out of it and blinking in frustration, hugging her small bag tightly.

Devon was feeling far too calm. Meg had helped him to write a list of everything he needed, and he had envelopes, and stamps, and paper, and probably time to write her letters so that she'd know all about what he was doing.

He clearly didn't understand the whole 'secret facility' thing. Plus, Meg had promised that she'd send some of her own, and visit on Saturday if their stepfather would let her, and his sister didn't break promises.

He held his suitcase for a moment as if he was reluctant to give the person in front of him it, but he let go the second the other- who was almost intimidatingly tall- reached for it. "Thank you," he murmured, turning his attention to the group of people. From the looks of it, though, he was one of the last ones on the bus. Which meant that he just needed to find someone to sit with. "Can I sit here?" he asked eventually to a girl doing embroidery. She at least looked friendlier than the one sulking on the row in front. "I will be quiet if you need to concentrate," he offered.

“Hm?” Asha looked up at the boy. “O-oh, yeah, you can sit here.” She scooted closer to the window to give the boy room. She had a small moment of dread over having to sit next to a guy, after the last one she talked to essentially signed her up for death then called her a freak to her face. Oh, wait...

Well, either way, that was a ridiculous way of thinking! Purely childish, among other things! “Oh, I’m fine with talking.” Asha says, putting on a tired smile. “I don’t really think I could work much once the bus started moving anyways.” She shrugged.

“I’m Asha. Who are you?” She asked, making an effort to be friendly. She...would need to get to know people sooner or later. And she really would rather talk than sit awkwardly. Besides, maybe talking would take her mind if the reality of what was happening. Make things seem more normal.

As the girl he was currently sitting next to luckily didn't mind him sitting there, she gave him a bright smile. Oh, no! If he had though she was cute before, now she was too bright! He was a creature of the night, it burned! Wait, no. That was his face as a light blush colored his cheeks, very noticeable given his pale skin. This was bad. While most people were afraid of spiders, or monsters, or knife-wielding maniacs, those sorts of things didn't bother him at all. No, Alister was very confident that the most terrifying thing in the world were one thing: cute girls. Whenever he talked to them, he always started blushing like an idiot and started stammering over his words. Looking for a way to distract himself, his gaze turned to look away from the girl next to him. His brown eyes came to rest on a girl sitting across the aisle before quickly shifting to one sitting directly behind him. Oh, no! He was surrounded! Shifting his focus once more, he saw a guy sitting in the row behind him. The teen shot him a look as if to say 'Brother, help me!' but the guy seemed to be busy reading his book. I was thrown off the cliff! Alister thought.

Okay, okay. Clam down. Just focus on the robot! Using all his willpower, the teen turned his attention to the robot and listened as the girl explained that it was a manifestation of her powers and its name was Gary. It seemed that his nervousness vanished as soon as his imagination took hold. "Woah! That's awesome! You have a little robot you can create? Can you make a lot of them? Have your own little robot army. It'd be like my power, then. It'd sorta be like my power then, since I am a walking, talking monster maker. Which is a lot less Frankenstein than you'd think." Alister stopped himself there as he realized that he had been rambling a bit. Luckily, the girl introduced herself then, saying her name was Angela and reached out to take his hand. Rubbing the back of his neck a bit nervously, he reached out and shook her hand. "Alister. Nice...nice to meet you too." He replied, doing his best to quell a stammer.

Remember, focus on the creepy robot before it is too late! Recovering quickly, he raised his palm to Gary. "Nice to meet you too, little dude. High-five."
