We are NeedleClan, with sharp claws and even sharper tongues. We look forward to the future, and choose our own paths

Welcome to NeedleClan!
NeedleClan resides in a forest next to their neighbor clan, PumaClan (link above).
With high tension between the two Clans, and no knowledge of StarClan so far, who knows what could happen?

Basic Rules
  • When signing up, please fill out the forum below entirely :>
  • No Mary Sue characters please! Keep it realistic, including the names.
  • Only 1 high position character per person, and up to 3 characters per clan for now.
  • You may start out as a kit or apprentice only if there are enough warriors to where your apprentice has a mentor, and at least 1 queen character for the kit.
  • Don't start roleplaying until it's opened! (I'll say once the RP is open)
  • If you have a cat in each clan, make sure their knowledge stays with them. Cats can't read minds!

NeedleClan Lore
  • The cats of NeedleClan have a larger array of fur patterns, ranging from brown to gray to white and even to orange. In the forest, it isn't hard to camouflage yourself!
  • Like PumaClan, NeedleClan has no knowledge of StarClan yet. It's only a matter of time before they find out, or something horribly wrong happens...
  • Since NeedleClan hunts in a pine forest, their prey usually consists of mice, smaller birds, the occasional bird of prey, and whatever else they can find. Despite the fact there is a tangle of streams on the territory, NeedleClan does not fish.
  • NeedleClan cats are much more prosperous than PumaClan cats for a few good reasons: They aren't quick to fight for silly reasons, they have much more prey, and they have a good herb growing area which proves useful even in the winter times.

Lore
A long time ago, there were three clans...
And now there are only two.

Once, there were three clans existing around a mountain: PumaClan, LynxClan and the now deceased LeopardClan. There was mostly peace between the three, with a small skirmish here or there.
But one leaf-bare, a sickness more deadly than greencough quickly spread through LeopardClan. The majority of the cats died, and the only way to fight off the sickness was with an herb located in LynxClan territory. However, the LynxClan cats refused to give them the herb. PumaClan, enraged, fought LynxClan in a small battle which injured many, causing tensions to rise even more. But soon enough, the sickness had taken its toll, and there were only a few cats left in LeopardClan. These cats either died shortly after or moved to PumaClan.
Afterwards, PumaClan blamed LynxClan for the destruction of LeopardClan. LynxClan refused, and the two fought multiple times. This lead to the two clans despising each other.
Wanting nothing to do with PumaClan anymore, LynxClan changed their name to NeedleClan. Three moons later, the entire situation has calmed down immensely, but the Clans still fight.
With no StarClan to guide them, will it ever end?

Clan Map
296kl0k.png
The lighter color grass is PumaClan territory, while the darker is NeedleClan. The darkest color grass is LeopardClan's territory, which is not used due to respect for the fallen clan. Note that the map is not to scale, and that the territories are much larger than they really seem. (blame me as much as you want, since I drew it)
Key:
PumaClan Territory
  1. This sandy area on the riverbank is great battle training place for apprentices, as the soft sand doesn't hurt to land on while practicing battle techniques.
  2. This large mountain-like rock contains the PumaClan camp. The cave has several different sections, used as dens for the cats of the clan. The entrance, which is the large black dot on the second layer, is easily guarded, since the only way in is up a semi-steep rocky slope up the small mountain. The entrance on the top layer is used by the clan for sharing tongues as the small flat area is the best for looking up at the beautiful expanse of stars at night.
  3. These slippery stepping stones are the easiest way across the river into NeedleClan territory. But why would you want to go visit that traitorous clan?!
  4. This area is unused territory, which once belonged to LeopardClan. Out of respect, both PumaClan and NeedleClan do not hunt there.
  5. This small mountain is much too steep to hunt on or cross and marks the corner of PumaClan territory.
    Now entering NeedleClan territory!
  6. This area was most likely used as a garden for the twolegs that lived in this dilapidated cabin long ago. The ferns, grass, and soil are soft enough to land on, making for a good battle training area, and a good area to grow herbs as well.
  7. Welcome to NeedleClan camp. This dilapidated, broken down twoleg cabin has long been abandoned and has been converted into NeedleClan camp. The walls and roof keep out the weather, however it can get a bit stuffy inside! The only furniture left are a small dresser, a broken, split in half desk, and some shelves on the wall. The leader's den is in a tiny walk in closet with a broken, stuck door that can't open. A small hole on the side allows entrance.
  8. This large rock is often disputed between NeedleClan and PumaClan. PumaClan wants it because its close to their territory, and is a rock, while NeedleClan wants it because it could make for a good sunning area as well as an extra place for hunting, despite the fact NeedleClan rarely crosses the tangle of streams in front of it.
  9. This tangle of streams often floods in the rainy season, reaching all the way to the entrance of the forest. It makes for good hunting at all other times though.
  10. This row of boulders is an easy way up the slope that separates PumaClan and NeedleClan territory. While it isn't hard to walk up the slope, these rocks offer more protection in case PumaClan wants to ambush during an attack, and is the easiest way up to the river that marks the border.
