Physically, his hair becomes a shade lighter (almost translucent), his pupils becoming slitted and iris color shifting to a pastel purple that is accentuated against his pale skin tone. Almost taking on the look of a merman, his canines sharpen just slightly, nails elongating, and glittering dark purple scales form under his eyes, neck, elbows, fingers, lower stomach region, and hips. Black tattoos appear accross his chest, back, and cover each arm completely in a tribal style, picturing marine wildlife and scenery in a very abstract way. Outfit wise, he doesn't wear a top so his entire torso is completely exposed as to emphasize the meaning and decoration of the inkwork. He gains a couple of more piercings as well including a stud in his bellybutton and a septum ring that is dotted with amethyst stones. Anklets with bells attached jingle as he walks and, of course, he carries his trident with him as a weapon. The trident is an excellent tool for Mateo since it expands the area he is able to freeze through touch. He is quite the gentleman, becoming very polite and well-articulated in front of strangers, however as soon as he is around friends he is the type to swear up a storm. This does not make him outgoing in any sense of the word, he is just able to handle people very well without stumbling over himself and getting flustered. It's very hard to pry Mateo away from something once he starts it because of his perfectionist nature. Whether immersed in work or concentrating on a hobby, he rarely pays attention to anything or anyone around him. Even if you were to yell at him time and time again, it's very unlikely that he would hear you at all, much less acknowledge your presence. Because he is often distracted by these things, Mateo sometimes ignores people without meaning to. Offending him is a difficult thing to do as he is not the type to react dramatically to other people or his surroundings. All in all, he is a very chill person who is easily carried into their own little world. [u][b]Biography:[/b][/u] (Sorry, I really hate writing these so I'm going to keep it pretty short and just outline a couple of things concerning his background). ~ His fear of women most likely comes from his mother abandoning him and his father as a child, moving back to her home country to take on a new life that did not concern them. Thus, Mateo grew up with a single father living in the middle of Madrid. ~ Had a pretty normal childhood considering the situation with his mother, going to school and making friends. However, because of his father's job, they tended to move around a lot in Europe, keeping a summer home in Spain so they could visit during the warmer months. ~ Started out making a living by tutoring others and teaching music classes, but quickly pursued his dream of composing instead. [u][b]Fears:[/b][/u] 1.) Has gynophobia (fear of women) and will break out into cold sweats around females, sometimes even becoming physically repulsed. 2.) Has a desperate fear of fire - luckily he controls water so it isn't really that much of an issue. 3.) Despises hospitals and refuses to get treated in big medical institutions. He'll try to deal with it himself since he keeps first-aid kits around his apartment, but if its serious he'll go to a local clinic or do a house call. [u][b]Strengths:[/b][/u] 1.) Smooth talker and an excellent liar - he can talk his way out of almost any situation no matter the circumstances. 2.) Normally, he is a freelance composer and creates electro music from his computer and recording sets at home. He frequently takes on requests from artists to help them formulate back-beats or just collaborate with them in general since his style is fairly popular among those who create electronic sounds. 3.) Very good at detecting other people's feelings which may be why he is so good at making pleasant music - he knows what people want and tries to cater towards their emotions. [u][b]Weaknesses:[/b][/u] 1.) He cannot generate crystal ice from his hands - only lower the temperture and freeze things by touching them/passing through them. 2.) Although he doesn't completely succumb to light, he can be weak to it during harsh summer days, becoming physically sick if he stays in direct sunlight for too long. High temperatures completely counteract his power as well whether this be atmospheric or through direct heat. He also can't pass through hot surfaces. 3.) Only able to generate this through touch - basically he can't just look at something and make it freeze (like through telepathy or some weird mind control). Also, while he can harm other humans with the objects he freezes, he cannot directly freeze a human itself (make it a popsicle basically). He can only give them frostbite if he touches them for too long. However, he is able to freeze small animals (anything bigger than a cat has too large of a heat index). 4.) **As a quick follow up to explain his power: he does not have to completely pass through an object to freeze it - he can do so by touching it with his hand. The phasing is just an extra ability he gains as well that has become a part of the flash freezing. 5.) It's pretty obvious to see where he walks and goes because he leaves a slick trail of frost behind him. It's completely unintentional and easily gives away his location. [u][b]Other:[/b][/u] ~ He does smoke reguarly, but he has a habit of chewing toothpicks when he doesn't have time to or it's not allowed. ~ His mother was Korean and his father is Hispanic (he was born in Madrid), so Mateo knows both Spanish and English fluently. He can only understand bits and pieces of Korean and is not able to fully speak it ~ Currently lives alone in a high-rise apartment where he works from home most of the time. He's a bit of a loner, but Mateo has good social skills despite his dislike of large crowds. ~ Tries to keep his house fairly warm year-round so it completely nulls his ability and he won't freeze everything he owns from coffee cups to his couch. On top of all of this, Julian also has a long, black coat with a high collar that comes up to his jawline. The actual length goes down to his ankles and flows like rippling water, emphasizing the water element nature of his sign. A turquoise face mask also covers his nose and mouth, connecting to the actual shirt he is wearing so he can simply take it on and off without it being a hassle (falls around his neck like a scarf when not in use). He is very observent and can pick up on the tiniest details, quickly filing them away in his vast memory which is almost like a journal of sorts. For him, recalling particulars is extremely simple. He knows at least one thing about every single person connected to him (no matter how deeply) - even if they themself have not verbally told other people. As stated above, his observation skills are top notch so he is able to piece the puzzle together without being told. More often than not, he goes out exploring, hungering to learn about the environment. However, he masks his cleverness around others. From an outsider's point of view, he appears to be timid and spacey, choosing not to get involved in high-interaction social situations. Julian is always thinking of something else, constantly stuck in a trance of daydreaming, becoming distracted extremely easily if something catches his attention. His expression reflects an exhausted spirirt as he frequently yawns and ends up falling asleep in the most obscure areas. Catoptrophobia (the fear of mirrors) - He is scared to see his reflection because he was often teased as a child for having such a pretty face (although he attributed it to ugliness instead, oblivious to the reasons behind the kids' jealousy). Thus, he doesn't ever want to see what he looks like and will throws mirrors if he sees them or get panic attacks should he catch a glimpse of his own face. 2.) Aphenphosmphobia (fear of being touched) - Julian isn't a germophobe, but he greatly dislikes physical contact. It's not as bad as when he sees mirrors, but having strangers touch him causes a certain amount of discomfort. In no way does he get sick from this, just annoyed and a bit disgusted. He only lets those extremely close to him initiate contact. 3.) Like most people, he really isn't too found of insects (mainly bees). [u][b]Strengths:[/b][/u] 1.) Very smart with excellent observational skills. He is currently a novelist and, much like Mateo, he spends his days inside of his apartment churning out manuscripts for his editors. 2.) Outside of his particular fears, he is actually quite brave and isn't afraid to do things that others may be turned off by. However, this also means he can be kind of reckless at times since he doesn't take his own safety into consideration. 3.) He is an absolute pro at solving rubik's cubes. Because he is afraid the water will provide some sort of reflection, Julian is sometimes scared to use his own power and will refrain from doing so even in really precarious situations. His room is absolutely covered from floor to ceiling with books of all kinds since he needs references for his writing. ~ That guitar in his faceclaim literally has nothing to do with anything so just ignore it. ~ Has literally no friends outside of his editor who comes to visit every once in awhile so they can chat about future ideas and current progress. ~ He was born in South Africa and lived there until he graduated from highschool (basically most of his life). She doesn't talk too often, but when she does, she has a way with words and can certainly make most people fall for her charms. She wanted to take up dancing and with her mother's guidance, she learned the basics of ballet. She excelled, and eventually convinced her parents to enroll her in ballet. She performed well and had fun, enjoying the dances and the twirls and the leaps. Chandella felt free, to say the least. She was satisfied with where she was, living with her parents while taking ballet. Unfortunately, that wouldn't last too long. Chandella's mother passed away due to an illness, and her father became depressed. Before her mother passed away, she gave her a simple peridot brooch that she had found in a box of old belongings. Chandella tearfully accepted the gift as her mother passed away, because of that, she wore it almost 24/7. Her father soon grew distant from her, barely paying her any attention. It was terrible without her mother, so once she came of age, she moved into her own apartment. It was a few years after her mother's death and Chandela's most important ballet performance was coming up. With a nervous aura around the ballet team, she put her hand over the middle of her chest, and with a slow inhale, said to herself, "May the winds of grace bless me." A flash of bright green light and she was different, a rapier in her hand, but she transformed back quickly, in shock. She tried it again when she got back to her apartment, and it worked. Though having no previous experience, she weilded the rapier well, very well in fact. Nonetheless, she was still confused.[/indent] [b]Fears:[/b] Caves, Bugs, Afraid of Injury and quitting her ballet career. [b]Strengths:[/b] -Really quick agile, and has extremely good timing due to her ballet training. -Can fight well in large spaces, as she can move around freely. -Is really, really persuasive and can convince others easily than most, usually males if she uses her charms. -Chandella is really good at multitasking, using this skill, she could probably dodge an enemy while creating some small crystals to attack/distract them. [b]Weaknesses:[/b] -Unfortunately, has low defense and can be pinned down easily if you somehow manage to catch her. -Can't fight well in tight spaces and is rendered vulnerable to attacks when in a small space. -She has to be near land in order to make her powers function. If she is on high adrenaline, or riled up, its easier for her to generate magma.. However, if she is tipped over the edge.. her power will start destroying everything, even herself. (she is fire-resistant, not fire proof, she can burn herself) Personality: Fiamma is feirce, strong willed, and independent. She is always thinking of some kind of strategy or angle to get what she wants. She tends to answer people wqith sharp sarcastic comments and sly suggestive remarks. She was groomed from a young age to take over the family business, taught to defend herself with fists and fire a gun. Over the years of working with her father, she's been shot a few times and hospitalized for other injuries. Her mother got her into other hobbies, introducing her to her very first Violin. Initially Fiamma hated playing, but soon started enjoying the music that came out of the instrument. She eventually became more than happy to play the Violin, and started taking lessons. Fiamma was very happy with her.. slightly dangerous lifestyle.. until her mother was diagnosed with end stage cancer. Within a few months, Fiamma's mother passed away, leaving mellia to take care of her three younger brothers while her father was off on business ventures. Appearance: He is on the pale side with grey eyes, a ring of darker grey around his pupil. He has short neat black hair, a bit longer in the back than in the front. He has moderate build, and moderately muscled arms and legs (not much because he’s not an adult yet). He stands at 5’9” tall and wears a crescent shaped necklace with the emerald gemstone fitting neatly around it (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=100814664 like this, but imagine the emerald stone in there instead of the blue one). He usually wears dark colored clothes and shoes, most of the time he wears a simple black jacket with dark colored jeans; the jacket is usually zipped up. He also wears a grey scarf to cover up a scar on the lower left side of his neck (yes, even in the summer). He also wears white wraps on his hands.

Transformed appearance: He becomes more pale, almost as white as the moon, and his eyes take on a vibrant red color, with white pupils instead of black. His hair turns from black to a moon colored white; in the moonlight it seems to be shining, and specks of light grey can be seen in his hair (resembles moondust). His hair also becomes spikier and on the messy side. Outfit wise, his scarf disappears, revealing his scar, and white gloves appear on his hands from the white wraps that are usually there. A black leather jacket appears on him, partially buttoned up, with a red tie tucked underneath it and a white shirt underneath as well, with emerald gems on the sleeve cuffs. He wears a thick silver bracelet on each wrist with sylvan patterns on them, they shine when exposed to light. His shoes are black with grey soles as well as black pants. The shoes are meant for running as well as fast movement. They have a silver wing pattern on the left side of the shoe (if you look at them from the front, that is).

Personality: Despite being a little introverted, Callum is nice to others and generally doesn't like emotional conflicts, and will try to stay away from them as much as possible. This is because his older brother and his father argued frequently, and he didn't like to hear them yelling. He doesn't like to anger anyone, he likes to try and please everyone, despite knowing fully well that he really can't. He is spirited and won't give up on anyone, it doesn't matter what the task is, he believes that there is always a solution hidden somewhere. He is also hesitant, sometimes flustered when talking to others, especially those older than him. He becomes self-conscious of himself whenever he is around people who are older and taller than him. He likes to give out complements, even though he usually blushes in embarrassment afterwards, unless it is his sister he is praising. But if someone threatens the group he is in, he will take a stand and fight back, despite not liking to get into arguments. He doesn't like to lie and will tell the truth most of the time, only lying if he has to. He is also not easily forced to do something he doesn't want to do. He just likes to be friendly and will brave through his fears if he absolutely has to and/or if there is no other way to go about doing something. If he hurts somebody, he will apologize immediately afterward, and then feel bad, sometimes letting it consume him. Basically, he doesn't let things go that easily. Despite this, he is, most of the time, calm, usually only speaking if he is addressed. Additionally, he likes talking about things he enjoys, such as the moon (he will go on about how beautiful the moon is and the phases and such).

Biography: (I usually write long but I'm going to write short this time... who am I kidding, it's probably going to be long anyway)

• Callum's class as well as his brother and sister went on a hiking trip in the mountains when he was 11. When the other students had went ahead while they were taking a break, his older brother suddenly pushed him down a steep hill, and he became lost, with no way to get back up. He tried to go around, limping, and discovered a shiny green stone in a stream. When it was getting dark, he was close to giving up, and sat down for a while until he decided to press on, eventually finding his brother and sister.
• When he did, a bear burst out in front of them, became hostile and tried to attack his sister. But he pushed her away, ending with him being mauled, bleeding from the neck. Medical attention came immediately, and he was saved from certain death, a scar now visible on his neck, which he covers with a scarf.
• Callum's older sister was the only one who stood out to him as being a positive force in his life. His older brother constantly bullied him and even assaulted him at some points, usually after finishing an argument with his father, who was constantly stressed. His mother had left him when he was 5 years old, so his sister was his only real friend. She would spend time with him, even when she had homework, and would even try to teach him some of the things she was doing. She was a good violinist, and would play it in front of Callum before practice the next day or before a concert. She would defend him whenever he was bullied by either his brother or other kids and adults. When she turned 18, she took her chance and moved away, taking Callum with her, leaving their brother and father at their old house. He currently lives with her, no longer facing any torment from his brother.
• Callum had joined a track team at one point, getting better at running far distances at a fast pace. He had even been an athlete of the season at one point, but his brother stole his award, and he never got it back.
• Present day: after a close call experience at school, Callum ran home, retreating to his room. His sister was out running some errands, so he was alone. He looked down at the his necklace charm, the same emerald stone he had found in the mountains now embedded in the necklace charm, which was a crescent shaped pendant. He held it in his hand, bringing it to his chest for a few seconds then moving his hand to the side, muttering a phrase that he liked to say sometimes; "There is evil everywhere under the sun." It was a quote that he had heard one day and just kind of started to like it. A brilliant green flash lit the otherwise dim room and Callum became frightened, jumping back and landing on his bed. He felt as though something was growing out of his head when the intense light ceased. He wandered out of his room, dizzy, and headed to the bathroom, looking in the mirror. His breath caught as he observed what he looked like, seeing antlers atop his head and strange black markings on his face, with the zodiac symbol Gemini on his forehead. He also observed that he was paler than normal and had red eyes with white pupils. After taking this in, he noticed that he was holding twin daggers in his hands, with a chain connecting them. He had decided that he wouldn't tell his sister about this unless she asked, which was his custom. He had a few weird dreams that he has never told his sister, or rather, anyone about. He had even seen a strange looking creature at one point outside his window flash by, but he doesn't think about it too hard. He began thinking about the form he took when he activated the stone, becoming afraid that he was going to end up being a monster and hurt many people.

Strengths (5 max):

• He can run fast and is agile
• He can maneuver pretty well in the dark and at nighttime
• He fights better in dark areas than bright areas
• He has almost undying courage when it comes to fighting, and would gladly risk his life to save another
• He has a calm demeanor most of the time, only really becoming flustered if there is too much yelling, if he is overwhelmed, if any of his fears kick in, etc.

Weaknesses (Min of 3):

• He is sensitive to pain, a.k.a something that doesn't seem so painful to most people will be more painful for him; too much pain overwhelms and kind of distracts him
• He is on the reckless side and will most likely take risks if there is nothing else left
• His defenses aren't the best, this is why he relies on speed and not taking blow after blow
• When transformed, sunny weather weakens him; he would surround himself with fog to help, but he doesn't because that would make it difficult to see
• He can't fight in tight spaces/buildings as well as in open spaces/outside. This restrains his movements, and since he is usually speed oriented, this is a problem he doesn't like to face
• Since he is nice and usually wants to please everyone, he is more prone to being manipulated, but at the same time, he isn't always gullible; when he is, things don't always turn out good for him

Other: Callum really appreciates the moon and just loves to learn everything about it, sometimes going outside just to stare at it and even using his telescope that his sister bought him for his 16th birthday to take in all the detail. Also, he enjoys listening to the violin play, whether it be his sister or someone else. A good violin player will often get complements from him if he hears them playing.
