Green eyes narrowed out at the weather as a clawed hand pulled a cloak closer in a poor attempt to keep some semblance of warmth from within. “Rain is, like, really pretty to look at and it sounds really nice, but it does put a damper on going to the beach,” the Skydancer said, glancing over at her brooding Wildclaw buddy. “I hate the rain,” he suddenly groused. “I don’t like to fly in it. It’s cold and hard to see… I like flying in the sunshine best. I like doing everything in the sunshine the best. Flying, fighting, hunting-” “You’re not a hunter!” she snorted, thoroughly amused by the idea. “And you’re not much of a fighter either! You spend your day running through the Labyrinth and hanging out at the beach with me!” “Okay, fine, I’m not a hunter or a fighter, but I’m not a farmer either!” Alex shrieked, turning his back on his clanmate. “Someday, you’ll all see how great I can be.” ------- [font=verdana][size=4] Working in the fields near his clan’s lair wasn’t Alex’s idea of fun and it certainly wasn’t his idea of a destiny. He liked to be active, sure, but he wanted to run, to fly, to hunt, and to fight. He wanted to forge his own path in the world, wherever that may be, but first, he had to learn. Would he find a mentor here in the Viridian Labyrinth or would he have to leave the comforts of home to find what he needed? There were many uncertainties in his future, but Alex had a feeling that he’d figure it out, Gladekeeper willing.
