This pumpkin gave me SO. MUCH. TROUBLE. to carve...The lid would NOT come off, so I had to widen the gap enough to get a spoon in there to try and pry it off. It worked...eventually. But the lid is now too small to fit on top of the pumpkin. (it's inside creating a bit of hight for the flashlight I used to create the light, in these pictures) XD; I don't think I'll be getting this type of pumpkin again, I forgot how tough they were to carve, heh. I carved them on Tuesday, the day before Halloween...my thumbnail is STILL recovering. :P (It's still sore, but not as much. Don't try to scrape out the inside of your pumpkin with your fingernail, kids. XP). It's supposed to be a stylized sun, and it's carved on the bottom of the pumpkin (the flat one). It was MUCH easier to carve than the other one. I may get this kind again in future. (The damage to my fingernail had already been done by that time, though. XP ) Besides, the seeds roast better than the other kind, yum. Gives a bit more context on submission 2's result, but these 2 photos aren't actually part of my submission. Nobody t-or-t's at my appartment, unfortunately. (or...perhaps...fortunately? More candy for me. XP)

@ShadeOfChaos Hey, uhh, quick question: does the contest end on the 1st or 3rd? The RoR hub is stating the latter, while this thread is saying the former. ^^;

Aww, dangit...I didn't even notice it said the first rather than the 3rd...I just assumed it went through 'till the last day of RoR...If it does in fact end on the first...I submitted a day late. :(

@Sidegrinder ShadeOfChaos' account was locked, and there's currently no in-flight update of who will finish running this event. I'll try to keep the thread posted if I hear anything else from the mods.
