Today Storm, Oasis and Polar entered the coliseum to decide which gen 6 hatchling would be heir!
The first three enemies were easily beaten, going down after about four hits. No damage yet. That could be good or bad.
Oasis quickly got hit with two attacks during the next couple of battles, with her brothers remaining virtually unharmed. Again, that could be good or bad. It didn't take long for the two males to drop down to half health, and I was hoping Polar would be defeated, because I did want an upgrade or two. Oasis fell, which I was upset about, but Storm was still alive...
But then, Polar won.

It was a crisp morning when the eggs started hatching. Momus and Xiuphili were anxiously awaiting their progenies. All three of them would be able to continue their family's research. They had to figure out this curse. Whatever it meant.
Not before long, the first egg hatched, revealing a bright-eyed Ridgeback boy that looked up at his parents with curiosity.

Right after that, the boy lifted up the shards of his eggshell with magkic and began experimenting with them. Xiuphili nodded in approval. "This one's smart.", she told Momus, who nodded in agreement. "Let's call him Veles.", she continued. Momus nodded again.
As Veles continued to experiment with his magical abilities, the second egg hatched, revealing a calm Bogsneak male.

This hatchling, too, began experiment with his already awoken magical abilities. However, when he tried lifting up the eggshells, he lifted up some water from a nearby puddle instead. "I think his powers might be limited to water.", Xiuphili mused, studying the little boy. "We shall call him Lyr."
The last egg hatched not long after, revealing a female Ridgeback that immediately tried to cuddle up with her brothers, only to get pushed away.

Momus studied the hatchling curiously. It wasn't normal for his family to have such a normal hatchling. "We shall call her Tinia.", Xiuphili concluded.
She was hopeful that maybe, the tide was turning for this family.

I forgot to update here for a while, but Moss was the winner of the fourth generation, and her one egg nest has hatched to reveal this guy:

Well... yeah. He's nothing special.
After hatching them, it was really hard to wait for them all to grow up. They finally did, so it's time for the bloody fight... with bugs... and mice. Whatever.
First fight with Alvoreth and Akath! Poor things had meditate, so they got hit hard before they could do anything. Thankfully their coach was a mirror, so he actually did something. I was really cheering for Alvoreth and my prays weren't for nothing. After a short fight with 4 rounds her sister, Akath collapsed under the pressure of ... well bugs.
Next round is between the stunning Triggiz and the boring Ruzros. Well, I don't have to say who I was cheering for. Their fights were a lot quicker. Actually, they did so good, I started to worry if one of them will ever faint. I got what I wanted by next fight. Mobs were attacking! But the wrong dragon! They too out Triggiz.
I was left with either all or nothing (in therms of breed/gene upgrades lol). They were a great team, fighted for long. Too long.
Thankfully, on the 6th round the mobs were cooperative and all started to attack Ruzros. He survived with only a hint of health. Okay, next fight and we're done! Um, well no. From that on they all started to attack Alvoreth! I was like noooo. I want her to keep the legacy! So they knocked out Ruzros.
I was so shocked, that not just I got to breed her, but I got to keep her as well! Now if we can't call this a luck, I don't know what I should call it! :D
So my heir is Alvoreth!
