Should you play a ridiculously frustrating, relatively unheard of Hungarian SEGA game from the 90s that has all of these things with the addition of DOLPHINS? But the moment I first leapt out of that ocean, had that [url=https://youtu.be/5ZAqbCCcXpw?t=1m2s]miniature seizure (epilepsy warning)[/url], watched everything get sucked from the ocean by a massive vortex and defecated a brick to the screeching satanic noises coming from my PC... man, that's something my childhood is always going to remember. UNGH. Gorgeous graphics and sprite work, [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxXHNJD7wz0]awesome looking enemies[/url] and overall this aqua-cyberpunk aesthetic they have going on. And the [url=https://youtu.be/k5Dcd-0-JVw]SOUNDTRACK[/url] just sends little shivers down my spine every time I hear it (especially this [url=https://youtu.be/Pt7rUPnW8qU]god damn epic cover [/url]I just found last night of Tubes Of Medusa). Mind you, I only ever got about halfway through the game until certain levels made me once again defecate bricks of rage, but oh my GOD the story continuation from the first game is EXCELLENT. [img]http://s12.postimg.org/mfxiyc7e5/Screen_Shot_2015_10_31_at_1_50_05_am.png[/img] And nobody really cares about the third Ecco game because while it is all sparkly and 3D, [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3krEOZGanIE]with an opening cutscene voiced by Tom Baker[/url]... they scrap everything from the first two games and instead of continuing the story of the Asterite, Vortex Queen etc.... they name the main enemy "The Foe" and make every antihero look like a [url=http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20140327023453/villains/images/7/73/Abyss_ice_and_fire_clan_dolphin.png]dolphin version of a bad sonic OC[/url]. And this is where the short-lived series breaks my heart because the third game feels like the most well known and the first two games are left in the dark. Gosh, this takes me back. I had the first game for the Master System and it was just brutal; it took me years to finish it because I always got stuck on one particular puzzle near the end, but I refused to give up on it. I still remember how happy I was when I finally solved that puzzle and made it to the ending. :)

Sometimes I would put the game on just so I could goof around in the starting area with the other dolphins, haha. Such a great game!

I had the habit of putting on ToT just so I could listen to the music in Crystal Springs, so I know what you mean about hanging around idly in the first level or two.

Man, I have it on the 3DS and it is a pain in the Butt! While I spoiled the story by watching it on youtube it's super fun anyway. And I did not know there was a third game!

@blackstatic the only ecco game i played was the one for ps2 AND I WOULD GET SO SCARED OF THE SHARKS so i barely played it /:

Actually, I have the first two Ecco games! It came on a Sega Mega collection disc for the PS3...
What even.
Is that game.

Seriously, half the time I have no idea what the hECCO (ahahaha) is going on.
And I can't get past like the second level of the game, (without going on gameFAQs hehe) it's really obscure and confusing.
Occasionally I play it just so I can see the cutscene where Ecco gets sucked into a portal in the sky... I don't play it for the storyline since I have no idea what to do, mostly I just swim and jump around the starting area because playing as a dolphin is surprisingly fun!
