Nevertheless, you know it's all going to be worth it! It'll be the Wavecrest Saturnalia soon, and you want to be here early, before the crowds fly in. The festival grounds should be right around the corner. You swerve around a stand of palm trees, fully expecting to see the colorful tents and stands from Saturnalias past. Instead, there's... nothing. It's an empty stretch of sand, with no dragons in sight. But wait, what's this? A small wooden sign is wedged into the sand. In hand-painted letters are the words "GONE FISHING". How curious. It's only then that you realize that the sign is in the shape of an arrow, and that it's pointing towards a narrow trail that seems to lead inland towards the Tsunami Flats. With aching wings and nothing else to go on, you decide to follow it. It's not long until the path widens, eventually ending on a stretch of beach you've never seen before. Offshore, there's a chain of small islands, the nearest with another sign on it. If you squint, you can make out the words [b]"Camp Cuttlefish."[/b] You decide to fly over and check it out. Sure enough, the sign reads Camp Cuttlefish-- and there's a Fae perched next to it. Her frills visibly perk up when you approach. [color=darkcyan]"Hey there, and welcome to Camp Cuttlefish! I've been waiting forever to finally welcome some campers, so I'm really excited! I can't wait to show you around, and..."[/color] She notes your look of confusion. [color=darkcyan]"Camp Cuttlefish is Water Flight's private retreat during the warmer months! This Saturnalia, though, we're opening it up so that everybody can celebrate. There's going to be a ton of fun activities and games the entire week, so get ready to party! Here, I'll show you around."[/color] The Fae flies up, and you follow her. Time to explore Camp Cuttlefish!

Many are using fishing poles, but you can spot a couple nets or clever traps. One Ridgeback carefully leans his neck out over the water, a lure dangling from the end. Well, this certainly explains the sign. [color=darkcyan]"Oh, the fishing competition! Every year, everybody gets together and tries to catch the fabled Mantarune, who supposedly lurks at the bottom of the bay. It's said to have a map to Captain Rustybeard's treasure on its back, so everybody wants it! But we catch all sorta of other things, so it all goes into a big raffle. Now that you look closely, the Fae does too. They seem to be splitting up a large pile of treasure. [color=darkcyan]"Oh, that's our share of the loot. Don't tell anybody, but we hold our own raffle just for us counselors! There's tons of cool stuff there that we manage to fish up in our spare time! Some of them got bored of trying to find that Mantarune and went looking for a different map-- and shockingly, I think they found one! But it was very confusing, so now they're running around looking for Rustybeard's buried treasure. Apparently, clues are scattered all around camp, and there's talk of ghosts! [color=darkcyan]"Captain Rustybeard's ship was wrecked here long ago-- that's why he hid the treasure here at Camp Cuttlefish. It's a popular hangout for hatchlings nowadays, even though I don't think they know we know about it. By the way, the word's been going around that a game of Mafia will be held there shortly-- it might be rather exciting. Don't tell that to the participants, though. They treat it like it's some sort of international tournament. If I had to guess, maybe some hatchlings skipped out on the Prophecy class and took matters into their own hands? You never know what'll happen with amateur diviners. Their scrying images must be awfully blurry... maybe you should help them out? I hear they're holding a contest to see who can scry the best, although it's rather unclear what they're actually trying to scry. Hatchlings these days... ah well. They think the counselors don't know about it, but as long as they don't burn the place down we're okay with it. I'd bet they'd tell your fortune, if you want to know the future. It might be a good way to regain some energy, hmm?"[/color] It seems you've seen all the Camp has to offer. It's been quite the adventure getting this all going, but I think the end result is worth its while. But it could only be this way with the combined efforts of hundreds of people who spent time, money, and work to get this the way it is. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'm just the Semi-Unofficial Wavecrest Organizer Person, although I've also written all the text you see here in the hub as well as the raffle intro. (I'm also running a really cool event!) Really, though, my efforts pale in the face of everybody's hard work. and finally... @Tidelord doesn't care, except when he does care. We love you, even if you are just a big Tideloaf. <3
