The Harpies’ camp is rather high up, being one of the taller islands in the Reedcleft Ascent. The ground is covered with cropped grass, though there are barren patches here and there. Nearby, sparsely distributed stalks of bamboo rise up from the ground, whistling as the wind gently blows. Being a flat piece of ground, you can see the gentle, wide sky clearly above you, wisps of clouds drifting along merrily. Many Harpies were running about, holding items that seem to be part of the logistics of the camp. Two seem to be shifting crates into place, while another drapes a cloth over the stack of crates. Another was draping a tablecloth over an empty table, and the few Harpies that were shadowing the tablecloth one were holding cutlery and food. At a nearby cliff, a flock of Harpies grasping onto baggage swooped in, dropping their crates and large sacks before landing gracefully. “Hey! You must be one of the volunteers!” You turn to see a waving Harpy in the distance. She narrows the distance between you two by jumping up and gliding over. She craned her neck, meeting your eyes. “I was told to wait for you. Welcome! We’re so glad you came. Follow me,” she says in a raspy voice. The draconic is awkward as if she wasn’t too comfortable using it. There wasn’t time to dwell on it, though, as she started to waddle towards the setup. Both of you stop in front of a golden wreath that's shaped to be leafy. A wing shaped like a Guardian's is placed on the left, and a wing shaped like a Harpy's is placed on the right. The wreath has been hung on a wooden pole planted in what seems to be the middle of the festival area. “I was told to show you to this. It’s our symbol of peace! We call it the Wreath,” the Harpy clucked, waving towards it. “Long ago, we were given this by a dragon clan as a peace offering. We accepted, of course. I think it’s great. No more war. Keep a good eye on it.” she smiled. ”We’re almost done with the setup. Could you help out? You can check on the drinks over at the tables or help to unpack the decorations.” One of the Harpies screeched something in a foreign language, and the Harpy immediately jerked to look at a small group of them trying to lift a table. She hollered back, her words sounding very similar, before saluting you. She flies away as fast as she flew over. You should probably help out. Before he met the Stanzascale clan, certainly before he met Illuminata and Plumra, his experiences with beastclans had revolved around the likes of defending against attacks and rescuing eggs. As a result, for a while the Mirror had seen them as nothing more than monsters to defeat. Though he wouldn't say he was comfortable in the Harpy's presence, Shunic had come to learn of Plumra's sincerity and dedication to her ambassadorial duties. This contrast with the fleeting awareness many had of her belligerent past gave him pause. Evidently, there were some beastclans who could turn away from war, and Illuminata the Skydancer was undoubtably one of the reasons why. Shunic had seen the Talonok clan that the Stanzascale clan had successfully established peaceful relations with, which reinforced that perhaps his views needed to change. Though he did not know the story behind the Wildclaw, Diana had been the one to advise Shunic to volunteer to help at the Unity Festival. A repentance for past mistakes, and begetting change with action. Fligrinny tickled Shunic's nose with her tail. “Can't tell a skycat what to do, can I?” The Mirror remarked to his familiar, who fluttered off to bat at something. Shunic hadn't planned on bringing Fligrinny to the volunteer security work, but clearly she'd decided to take the opportunity to visit the Plateau again. It was a lovely day for a festival, Shunic thought when he and Fligrinny arrived at their destination. The skycat found a sunny spot to groom herself while the Mirror was having things explained to him by one of the Harpies. He took a moment to appreciate the Wreath he was shown, and smiled as he thought about how happy it would make the clan's ambassadors. The Mirror started to relax, after all the tension of having had to change the way he saw some of the world's peoples, he started thinking he would enjoy helping around the festival. Shunic hoped the Harpies struggling with the table were going to be alright, and went to help with unpacking decorations. The Mirror wasn't quite sure what the Harpy had meant about checking the drinks, but hopefully one of the other volunteers would know and be able to handle it.

Then there was a voice disrupting the peace, Ara whipped her head around to see a harpy flying toward her. Ara said nothing in response, she was never really one for unnecessary speech. For a moment Ara's eyes widened at the Wreath and listened to the harpy's short story intently before they flew off. [color=#251a72]*Well time to help I suppose.*[/color] Ara thought to herself. She had never thought about it before, but beast camps seemed to be just like dragon clans. A group of creatures, with varying personalities, all working and living together in a sort of family. At a young age Rey had been thought to think of beasts as "others", but she was slowly starting to realize that they weren't so "other" after all. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts, Rey turned to group of harpies working on [b]unpacking decorations[/b]. The natural scavenger in her wanted to see and touch all the things they were pulling from their crates.
