@SilverStreaks It's not too late to join in general, but it is too late to join before the start of the game.

However, I'll add you to the lobby, and once 3-5 players sign up, you'll be added to the game as a group.

(The reason I have to wait and add players in groups is because if I added players one by one, others would be able to look at which role moved from graveyard to active when a player was added and instantly tell their role.)

@Akal Sounds like he'll fit right in! I'll add you to the lobby, and you'll be added to the game once another player signs up.

I'd love to get more people signed up and into the game, as, due to deaths, there's only 12 players right now.

One more sign-up and I can do a check in and add people to the game!

People are having some trouble deciding on and submitting their role actions in 24 hours, so I've decided to go ahead and extend nights to 48 rather than 24 hours, effective immediately. This means the next day post will go up Sunday, not tomorrow.

To make that even more of a challenge, the day post will probably be somewhat late today, as I'll be out at the time I would normally post it and I'm not sure when I'll get back.

@Lukra I always like these types of games in theory, and then end up getting bored because either I get a role I hate or I die on the first night. The RP aspect and the flavor of wagering a dragon makes the game much more interesting... Given the tidbit in your intro about rewards accruing to the soul of the dragon, I'd like to do this Nuzlocke-style and exalt any dragon I sign up who ends up dead, passing their soul and whatever rewards on to a new hatchling in due time. Am I correct in assuming these rewards are simply the ghost chips themselves? If so, it seems like a pretty poor payout for the soul involved. "Congratulations! Here's a coupon for another chance at painful death, only this time you get a better chance at starting with a camera!" I could surely find some dragons who would still take that deal for one reason or another, but I wonder if Frip might grant a reward that would be useful outside the casino? I realize this is totally outside the scope of the game, but what do you think? If I'm being confusing, here's a concrete example: "Whichever team wins, they and any future incarnations of their soul are given a Soul-shield badge to put in their dragon's bio (or not): [item=Battered Shields]Protects the bearer and all future incarnations of their soul from death once during their lifetime. Usable only outside Frip's Casino. "

(Sorry if this isn't phrased too well, I'm a bit tired and headachey right now, but I feel like I've already left you unanswered long enough.)

If I understand you correctly, you're asking about in-character, in-lore rewards to give dragons in-character incentives to play the game?

The casino's concept already includes the concept that dragons are receiving vague afterlife rewards for their participation -- I've chosen not to specify them so as to give players more creative freedom in how or if they want to incorporate that into their lore and roleplaying.

(Also, Frip freely breaks the fourth wall, which is why her explanations for things are often hand-wavy. The casino's incentives are not stressed because its proprietor knows the real reason dragons are present is that players want entertainment.)

Players' performance is tracked by ghost chips, though there can't be a "whichever team wins" reward as the game is designed to proceed perpetually without team-wide wins and losses, just individual deaths and spawns.

So, to match the example you've given: if you wanted to specify in your dragon's lore that they got a Soulshield because their previous incarnation did well at the casino, that's fine by me (though as you've established it wouldn't work in the game). But I'm not really inclined to make it an established, gamewide reward.

(Honestly I think in-character getting your personal heart's desire rather than a pre-established reward would be a better incentive anyway -- think the Mirror of Erised or the Adventure Zone's Suffering Game, where everyone seeks a custom reward.)

TL;DR: The casino's rewards are intentionally vague because you can do whatever you want with them in your lore.
