As the Imperials of Sornieth grew more and more numerous, the Lightweaver saw that their first children were starting to run amok. The balance between the dragons was becoming skewed. Yet there must be priorities. With the uprising of the Imperials came the Emperors, three headed undead beasts with insatiable hunger, that ate anything that came in their path. Many dragons tried to stop them, the breed most suited for the fight being the Imperials themselves. Vast swathes of Imperials threw themselves at the abominations but it was as though they were trying to catch light in a glass jar. The Lighweaver saw those brave Imperials that came close to defeating an Emperor. An idea came to them. Those select few who had proven themselves were cradled against the Lightweaver's scaly chest where a new light was fed into their bones, bringing them back to life. Even though their skin grows dim with death, their bones grow more radiant each day, reanimating the dead Imperials so that they may continue their fight against the Emperors. With each death, The Awakened grow stronger, learn better how to fight the Emperors. Now, the Emperors are being slaughtered in turn. But The Animated are not truly alive, the light in their bones are like the strings of a marionette, tugged and pulled by the Lightweaver themself. When their task is complete and there are no Emperors left, their strings may be cut so that they may return to dust along with the Emperors. The Lightweaver's plan is succeeding. The Emperors die out, the Imperials are slaughtered and soon all that will be left will be The Awakened, alive only for the benevolence of mighty Lightweaver.
