@blaireau - So it did take awhile to get up to the gem breeds. I am going to try to pick my mates with 1 step up in as many areas as possible to give myself the best chance of upgrades each breeding, but you know how the RNG can be. Of course, I got a Coatl once from a Coatl/Guardian nest, so it can happen. LOL (Probably used all my breeding lucky up on that one nest though.) Quite a success I must say. This was a tough call. The firstborn got Primary: Tiger and the second born got a Secondary: Stripes and a step up on the Tert to Smoke. So based on that, I think the 2nd born would be a better heir. Plus, his coloring is more of what I'd like to continue. Now I am off to the AH to find a suitable mate. The heir is male this time, so I won't be able to use SandCrab this round (the Noc I bought originally for this past round and replaced with the guardian).

That will give me the best odds for upgrading. I had to sacrifice a bit on the colors though. Its not too bad. I figure it will be easier to correct colors later since I am not going for a specific combo, whereas getting those gene upgrades early is important. Bonus: The mate is a Leap Day hatchling, so she will be ready to breed 4 days [i]before[/i] the heir. Yay! Less waiting for cooldowns to end.
