Some rise from the warped glass of one lucky strike of lightning. That warped glass was Mirmanesh’s first sight, and it was [i]fascinating[/i]. Her second sight was Teslan, another byproduct of the mysterious science that had made her. And so began the exploration. Aster Company’s territory lies in the caves among Carrion Canyon. The transition from cave to practically-aliens-from-outer-space is quite abrupt; a sliding metal door is the only divide between wasteland and high-tech laboratories. Soon, with the words “full research funding,” scientists were pouring in from all corners of the world. Astrophysicists, biologists, chemists, geologists… and then came the engineers, taking the scientists’ dreams and translating them to applicable realities. Company became a term not just to describe the “group,” but also their functionality. Company Timeline

• Mirmanesh and Teslan founded Aster Company
• One of the biology interns let loose a virulent strain of EK-401. Much of the original lair was razed, and those left behind were either mentally scarred or completely oblivious. Most happened to be of the latter.
• The clan brought in Xennik. After an alchemy accent, Xennik's behavior and appearance changed significantly.
• We looked away for one minute and then there was suddenly a chemistry department. Xennik's apparently in charge.
• The chemistry department functions completely autonomously from the rest of the company, but they still let the company pretend to manage them.
• The clan's resident manager, Varinos, left the clan with his mate Vick. Xemaat and Cwen were hired in Varinos's stead.
• So apparently Varinos was very good at his job.
• Xemaat did a complete overhaul of the entire company.
• Xemaat has fine-tuned the company into super-efficiency.
• Cwen and Xemaat overthrew Mirmanesh and Teslan. They've officially rebranded the company as Aster Empire.
• Nobody was quite sure what to make of the CEO change, but their research was still being funded, so they didn't particularly care.
• Some of the scientists grew tired of Cwen. She's not a scientist or a good person. Frankly, one of the psychologists considered using her for a mental instability project.
• The Chemistry department wanted to be a company again. Since they control over half the income, they overthrew Cwen and became their own independent company. Cwen broke down and left with her husband, Aurex.
• The Astronomy and Planetary Science Department has seen a strange increase in employees.
