[Size=5][b]Welcome! I am [i][u]subbed [/u][/i]here![/b][/size] [i]This will be my attempt at a Hatchery! It is a serious work in progress though! I am just setting up the basics![/i] I often find myself thinking of cool lore ideas that I can't use in my everyday lore without distracting too much from what I have made, so I decided to use a Hatchery instead! Here, I will be breeding dragons and then writing little bits of lore in the Hatchlings' bios! If you are interested, I would love to see you have some interest in them, but some people just want the dragons and that is great too! --------- First, some background! In my lore, spirits are composed of magic, as are the souls and auras of living things. Dragons have the strongest magic of anything alive and this gives each a spark of creation within them. When many dragons believe or think one thing, these sparks become a fire. Spirits are created by these sparks, or they may receive energy from them. Spirits, as a result, often embody strong emotions and concepts such as Hope, Despair, Justice, or Rage! There are so many points of views for these concepts that many spirits are unique, just like dragons. Here, many of those spirits have been finding their way through my clan. The Veil is weak from the population of mages, the number of deaths in the clan's far flung history, and its peculiar use of power since disabled. Spirits slip through without really meaning too and sometimes, they can't quite find their way back, and some don't want to. The Spirits that follow bring whispers, like hints to those who seek them. Desire comes in many shapes. Desire for peace, desire for war; women, men, gold, freedom. A desire to have something to have for oneself at all perhaps. There were many desires for many a year but where there are wants, there are those who know better than to pursue them. Wisdom carries experience, old memories of older thoughts. Knowledge begets a hunger for more, but Wisdom is to know when it is enough. A menagerie of spirits this mix did bring. Apathy comes with every empathy. The numbness after shock, after a shock or a terror. The feeling of indifference as everything collapses, as one gives up. Then there were those driven by their pain and fear, to fight against the darkness. Their Mania changed the Quarry. There was meaning, direction, purpose, something to strive for. A chance. There are those that feel pain and desire comfort and there are those who will comfort them, but whether with truth or pretty lies is what matters. There are others also who push forward despite it all, carrying sparks wherever they go. Many are those who seek solace in their questions, to find answers in their worlds and minds. Strong are those who seek certainty themselves, however. To know what to feel and to do is a strong feeling, but to feel safe and secure is another. Solace is the wish to have answers, but certainty requires no thought, just feeling. Purpose brings a certainty of better time and follows those of altruism and those touched by mercy who are embracing their lives to their fullest. In times of chaos, this undoes many individuals, but during times of comfort, Frenzy has little sway. Frenzy is fast paced and easily obsessed, but quite duty bound often enough.
