These are the pairs in my lair that have at least one parent with lore. The hatchlings from these pairs will be more expensive than those from my non lore pairs as these hatchings will come with prewritten bios.
Please note that some of these breeding pairs are not yet fully gened. All breeding cards show the final gene plans for the pairs. Pairs that are not yet fully gened will have a note before their hatchling previews and will show what their kids will currently look like.
Cyra is the clan founder and leader. She formed the clan alongside her adopted daughter, Kandis. Cyra found Kandis lost all by herself. Having been alone herself up until that point, Cyra decided to build a camp where dragons from anywhere could come and find a home.
Delmar had been a wandering dragon. He had a clan he used to live in but never really a family. Perhaps that is what he had set out looking for when he left. Perhaps he just needed some adventure. No one knows why he left his other clan or if he found what he was looking for when he settled into Clan Portum. He has never given anyone an answer. His role in the clan is to train other dragons in self defence. Something that has never been required to know, but you can never be too safe.
Delmar and Cyra met when Delmar stumbled upon the camp. He originally wasn’t going to stay for long, but he had an injury and Cyra insisted he stay to get fixed up. So he did and ended up deciding to live there. Delmar does not mind the fact that Cyra sometimes will pay no mind to him. She can't help it after all, she had her charge to watch over. He knows that she loves him and that's enough for him.
Kandis never really had a family. Well she did, but they didn’t feel like a real family to her. Her birth clan and her family was obsessed with Dominance. She quickly realized that her and her siblings had only been born for that reason. Her parents did not want to keep them. It was all for the sake of Dominance.
So she ran away. And that is what brought her to Cyra and the clan.
Kayce was born in the Tangled Wood and has lived there since. He is an enchanter. He casts spells on the trinkets laying around the camp so that they glow with magic.
Kayce is incredibly gentle. He hates fighting and hates seeing others fight as well. It's because of this that he enchants the trinkets around the camp with a minor calming spell to hopefully prevent any quarrels around the camp.
The two met when Kandis was out hunting one afternoon. Kayce had been on the brink of death, having been ambushed by bandits. Kandis brought him back to the camp where he was nursed back to health.
Kayce had known that the clan existed before he had been brought in. He had always been too timid to enter the camp. He didn't want to leave once he had been brought there. And that was entirely because of Kandis. Words cannot describe how strongly the two love each other.
Sloane is part of the hatchery guard. It could be said that she was born for it because of how good at her job she is, but no one knows where she was born. Rumours say that she’s royalty and that she was born in a huge kingdom to a king and queen. She doesn’t say anything to confirm or deny those claims. She simply smiles and changes the discussion topic.
Most of her time is spent exploring the camp with curious hatchlings, watching over them to make sure they don’t get hurt or cause
too much trouble. She’s practically a child herself, encouraging the hatchlings to pull little pranks on others. Small pranks only of course. When confronted about it, she always says that kids should be allowed to have harmless fun; that they shouldn’t have strict rules placed on them. She strongly believes that kids should not be punished severely. So she takes it upon herself to give out light punishments if needed so that the others won't do it "the wrong way."
Jay is a courier, always flying mail out of the camp to other clans. He visits his home clan the most with letters and other things. He loves what he does. Having mail to send out means he gets to fly and travel to other places. Jay loves travelling. He keeps a personal journal in his bag at all times that he uses to draw interesting things he passes on his journeys. He goes through journals like crazy, drawing random things from around the camp when he is not flying mail around. Jay never leaves a drawing unfinished. Partly because he never draws things that he doesn’t like, but also because once he starts something, he is committed to finishing it. When he is working on a drawing, he is completely absorbed in it. Don’t expect to get an answer out of him until he is done!
Sloane joined the clan long before Jay, but Jay always visited a lot to see his older sister. Jay and Sloane did not become acquainted for quite some time. Jay’s sister was the one who finally introduced them to each other. Once the two were introduced though, they became the best of friends. Whenever Jay would leave the camp after his visits, Sloane would take the longest to say goodbye. Even though he would always be back to visit again, she acted as if they would never see each other again. They didn’t have to tell each other how they felt about one another. They just knew.

Oracle is the third member of the hatchery guard. When she was younger, she got into an accident after a prank went horribly wrong. She was severely burnt down the entire right side of her body, her face having the worst of the scars. Most of the scars have been covered up with tattoos. The ones on her face however, are covered with a mask. Most of the hatchlings avoid Oracle because of the scars and mask. but she doesn’t mind. As long as they’re all safe, that’s all that matters to her.
Koda is always talking about magic. Whether it be spells or the gemstones on his body. That’s what he is always talking about. That is also the reason he left his other clan. They were afraid of him and of his magic. It wasn’t just him in general, they were afraid of all magic users. He tried to make them understand that there was nothing to be afraid of, but they would never listen. They didn’t want to listen.
The two were childhood friends, having been born in the same clan. Koda was always picked on by the other kids their age because of his magic. Oracle was picked on because she was his friend. But neither of them cared. They would ignore them as best they could and would leave the clan territory to go hide were they wouldn’t be bothered. They left the clan together after a “prank” had gone horribly wrong. And then they found themselves at Clan Portum, somewhere where they could be themselves and not be judged for it.
Tara showed up at the camp unexpectedly one night. All she said was that she was looking for a new home. Of course she was accepted in gladly. She immediately took to helping protect the hatchery, becoming the last and youngest of the hatchery guards. Similar to Sloane, Tara believes that children learn best by doing and experiencing things in life. Unlike Sloane, this means Tara will sit back and watch as children do dangerous things, waiting for them to potentially get hurt and learn that way. This view of hers is disliked by the other guards, but Tara is a good fighter and may not show it at times, but clearly loves watching over the hatchlings.
Not much is known about Nafaran. What is known is that Portum is not his actual home. It used to be, and in a sense, still is and always will be. He does visit a lot which the others enjoy quite a lot. Even those who had not known him when he used to live in the clan enjoy his visits. His first visit was with Reiner, Nyx and Jay’s father. After that, he just started showing up on his own for regular visits.
The two met when Nafaran visited the first time. Both of them each had their own secrets and it was as if that is what brought the two together. Tara is teased that she is the reason Nafaran visits so often. She doesn't say anything about the teasing. It was hard to deny something that was evidently true.
