Others say they are born when an egg is exposed to extreme light and heat. But the truth is, no one is quite sure where they came from...[/color][/i] Mirrorlight Legacies are notable for their devotion to the Lightweaver. Their impulsive, drastic, and stubborn behaviors often get them into verbal and physical fights over perceived slights to themselves, their friends, and the Lightweaver. However, they do not have many internal disputes, even between Pearlcatchers and Imperials. Skydancers often are the ambassadors for the breed. Pearlcatchers care for the eggs, while the most ardent Imperials raise hatchlings. Legacies prefer to live in large enclaves; unfortunately for them, most dragons can rarely tolerate more than four or five together. Legacies are unshakably certain of their beliefs; to be otherwise is unthinkable. Many join the Dominance battles in support of their beliefs. They are as intensely committed and loyal to those few they consider family and friends. Legacies shun those who use light magics, as they believe it drains life force from the Lightweaver; these dragons usually prefer to be physical fighters. Their disdain of magi has led more than a few to a fascination with mechanical toys and machines; Legacies are dedicated to the Lightweaver but have a healthy deal of respect for the Stormcatcher, his followers, and their many inventions. Unfortunately, Cumuloshines are also lazy to a fault, and far more likely to doze off in the sun, scroll still wrapped around claws. Occasionally, dragons on the ground will see a Cumuloshine start to plummet, only to wake itself up, resume flying, and then resume dozing once again. The great pride of the Cumuloshines is a book written collectively by several of their members, called [i]The Fine Art of Sleep-Flying[/i]

These Legacies tend to be far more relaxed than their fellow Legacies; they are far more comfortable explaining the intricacies of their beliefs to outsiders than they are practicing those same beliefs. Nuri traces her bloodline through her father all the way to #127, through a largely Imperial lineage. The patrilineal line of Nuri's mother traces back through an equal Imperial line to #603, though her oldest ancestor is #132. Due to their ancient bloodlines and a significant Imperial influence, Legacies of the line of Nuri are typically the most fervent, devoted, and zealous of the subspecies. They also are the most clannish of the species.
