What made you decide to do a Fairy Kei style society?
I have always admired the pastel colors that are shown in this style of fashion. It embodies what eye-candy for colors should be. Toned down or popping pastel hues are what make the fashion what it is.
So why Spank?
After doing a lot of thorough research on what specific colors are used within Fairy Kei style, I came across the blog of the woman who started it all. Originally called Spank, Fairy Kei grew to include toned down pastels with bright and dark accessory shades. Wanting to pay homage to the "creator" of the fashion style, I chose the name Spank.
How do I join?
We have completely removed the application process so that interested users can use our SPANK icon at will. So long as you have a pair that meets the requirements listed, you can join with that pair.
What do I have to do after I join? NEW!
YOU MUST ADD YOUR INFORMATION TO THE PL BUTTON! The button will take you to the spreadsheet for all of our members. If you are NOT on that list, you are NOT considered a SPANK member and will NOT be allowed to use our badges!
Do I have to have a hatchery?
You will need some way of selling your dragons (a hatchery is one of them) for your pairings to count. If you do not have one, you will not be able to use the SPANK icon.
What is the benefit of joining SPANK?
If you love pastel colors like I do, that alone is a reason to join! Besides that, we will be hosting a thread for you to sell to others.
What made you choose the genes that you chose?
I did not want there to be lots of genes that would cover up the pure essence of our pastel colors. Many genes become darker shades when they are applied to the dragon. There are also some that obscure the underlying colors, disrupting the natural flow of the dragon. For these reasons, we have carefully chosen which genes we will allow our members to breed with.
Will you be adding new tiers and genes later on?
As Flight Rising expands its genes and species, SPANK will adapt accordingly. We want to continue to grow our society, so as new content is added, all will be under consideration.
Why can obsidian only be used on crystal/underbelly/thylacine/piebald?
In the Fairy Kei world, a dark hue like obsidian (basically our 'black' color of Fairy Kei) is used to accent clothing in a certain way. To have this pertain to dragons, I had to choose which genes were most suitable for obsidian with respect to SPANK guidelines. Typically black is only used in the fashion style as polka dots, for example. Because these genes can be colored in obsidian without downplaying the significance of the pastel colors, they were chosen.
Can I use the pinglist?
You must be a member of this society to access the pinglist. Likewise, members who utilize the ping list should carefully read other member's guidelines. Do NOT ping someone with sales for what they are not looking for.
Can I have more than one badge?
If you have multiple pairs that meet the tier requirements, by all means, use whichever badges you like!
What happens if I decide to sell my pair(s)?
As long as you have pairs that meet the requirements, it does not matter if you sell a pair.
