Arvak Dragon Commisions
As one year gave it's final gasp of breath before fading into the next cycle of time, the Arvax breed of dragon struggled into awareness. Perhaps once they had been as any other dragon known to our world; but their bodies had felt a change stir within them as the cusp of the New Year. In order for the cycle of time to begin anew, the evil of the past year must go somewhere...and it fled to some individuals, changing their form to the salvation of all. Their skin became smooth and sleek, pulled taunt against their frames; the edges of their wings frayed, the rush of energy wearing them raw; and vents opened in their bodies, releasing fumes and breath. Drawn into a deep sleep after the completion of the process, they awaited only the summons of time to awaken at the proper moment.
