A sub-shop { sister shop? } of sorts for my regular art thread!
Here you will find auctions for gijinka designs matched with corresponding dragons!
Plus a bit of music too!

These auctions are for the art & design, but you can have the the dragon associated with them for 1 Treasure if you'd like! You entirely own & can do whatever you want with what you purchase from here, given standard FR rules of course! You can tweak the art, exalt the dragons, write a song about 'em, even resell the designs if you want!
What I'm hoping to provide is a good stepping stone of inspiration for a character, so far be-it from me to limit where that inspiration takes you!

- Please ping the person you are outbidding as a courtesy!
- Just in case it's necessary, auctions have a 10 minute snipe guard.
- Try to be ready to pay your winning bid within three days! Beyond that time, your spot will be forfeit and I will contact the next-highest bidder. { Unless we've specifically discussed an exception. }
- The art that is being auctioned is final, so please do not ask me to change parts of a drawing/design here. If something doesn't suit your fancy for specific reasons, maybe a different design in the future will match your tastes better!

How are the dragons picked to base designs off of?
Through the week I pick up dragons/rarely keep hatchlings from my clan's nests that give an idea for a design. I will also try and keep in mind preferences that people mention along the way. I save the dragons themselves in case people want them and the design they inspired.
What about their outfits?
I try to include at least some references to existing Flight Rising apparel in case people want to use that for ideas of dressing up their dragon, but for the most part it's probably just 'I thought this looked nice'.
Why does/doesn't this design have X?
The broadest explanation I can give is that I want there to be a wide pool of traits/aesethetics/elements, so that if - for one example - you prefer your clan's gijinkas to have their FR-primary for a skintone, you'll find those along with gijinkas that have human skintones too.
This is for the sake of general aesthetic and sparking ideas for characters. Some designs might resemble humans more or less than others. Some may open different possibilities for occupations, personalities, gender identities, back stories, lore settings and so on. The idea is that if something doesn't catch your fancy with one design, there will be something else that resonates with you better later on.
{ And keep in mind that once you own a design, it's yours to change parts of if you wish! }
Does this dragon's parents have lore I can connect them to?
If a dragon comes from two parents that are in my lair, then yes, I have characters for them that I will gladly summarize over PM { as most of my dragon's look ups aren't made right now }. If I bought them from the AH, they do not have lore that I'm aware of, but the owner of their parents might have information for you!
It is entirely your decision if you want to use these to bridge our clans in some way/use their parents as a reference point. Please do not feel obligated to acknowledge their lineage!
Do you ever sell full design sheets instead of bust drawings?
At the moment, not for these auctions. That would take significantly longer and be far more precise { and consequently a lot less open for people to build ideas off of }. There might be exceptions in the future if I get really enthusiastic for a specific design, but otherwise just busts for now.
What happens to designs that aren't purchased?
They're probably scrapped with some mental notes of what I figure wasn't appealing about them, which won't necessarily stop me from using those factors again, but might encourage me to try and figure out how to make them work for people!
Also the winner of a design can purchase the dragon that corresponds to it for 1 treasure. { a.k.a. the minimum crossroad fee. }, but dragons that are left behind for any reason will probably be trained and exalted.
Regarding USD purchases.
I sent an e-mail to Flight Rising staff confirming that as people are not bidding on the actual dragons, this is a-okay, but if you have any concerns, feel free to ask!

Sure thing! I should clarify that I am basing the pinglist on the dragons that the designs are based off of, and not the gijinka design itself, since - well, case in point:

The actual Guardian that design is for is a F Guardian 'v' And interpretations of the design themselves are up to the bidder.
