There will also be Events where you can use your Scryphs to participate! Other than that, you may use it like an OC or even put in on one of your dragons profiles!(They make excellent partners and pets!) [b]Are all the genes available from the start? How do I get rare and new genes?[/b] Rare and recessive genes have a very rare chance of spawning from birth. However it is very likely that they will be [u]Het[/u] for that rare gene :3 [b]You've been using this 'Het' thing a lot, what the heck is it?[/b] Het is short for the term Heterozygous, which means it has the genetic data to 2 different patterns instead of one, however due to dominance within the genes most of the time the Recessive traits are not shown. [img]https://i.imgur.com/EHJW6pm.png[/img] Thus if you breed two Hets of the same gene type and get a baby with both the Recessive trait, it will show the rare gene! [b]But how will I know if my Scryph is Het for the gene I want?[/b] That is for you to discover! Experiment, breed and discover! But if you really must, there are always ways to do a lab test for the genes. [size=1]At a costly price [i]*cough cough*[/i][/size] [b]How long does it take to breed? Is there a cooldown?[/b] Why, yes there is! After settling on a nest, they will be unable to breed for a 7days. [b]How many Hacthings can there be? What happens if I breed with another user's Scryph?[/b] Despite being very snake like, they do not produce that many eggs. They can have anywhere between 2 to 6 eggs within a clutch. But strangely enough, it will always be in an even number! As such, if you pair with someone else's Scryph you will both be given an even number of offspring to choose from, the rest which are not taken are then offer to the other party, and finally put in the Adoption Center for public adoption. [b]Do I have to pay to breed?[/b] Nope! Breeding is free! Only adopting the offspring will incur charges! So breed away! [b]What if I don't like any of the babies?[/b] Any unwanted offspring will be placed in the Adoption Center for other players to adopt. After a set amount of time, if they are not taken they will be released back into the wild. [size=1]Or perhaps they will be sacrificed to the Scryph gods...[/size] ;D [b]I spent a lot of effort breeding up to these rare genes... What if I don't want people to adopt these offspring?[/b] Fear not my friend, your efforts shall not be wasted. If you so choose, any unwanted offspring can also be immediately released instead of being put in the Adoption Center. [b]What are these pins? Do they do anything?[/b] These pins are a badge of Honor, you may place them in your Signature if you have obtained them! Sadly they do nothing at the moment.
