It’s a quiet morning with just a few birds singing in the brushy woods that surround the property. Your breath rises in a fog in the cold winter air; even in the light territory, winter is felt. A young female guardian is working on some fallen wooden fencing as if the wood and wire were her charge. At first you’re not sure she knows you’re there, but then she speaks: “These fences... does your clan have this problem? Every time we catch a familiar, we seem to lose two to this shoddy fencing. A jester so much as breaths on it and it falls away.” She works a moment longer, then, seeming satisfied, straightens herself and looks at you for the first time. She’s small but appears strong, with a weather-worn face and a strangler curling around her neck as if it were another part of her. “You must be here for the bears?” “Well, I don’t—“ you begin. “Here’s the thing: all of Sornieth agrees that the bears are a problem. There are too many of them. I can’t help my bleeding heart—I hate to see them go to Baldwin, that madman.”. She speaks with a directness that makes you wonder if she’s ever been meek in her life. “So I’ve been catching them and doing my best to rehome them. They’re good companions. No matter how many bears Sornieth has, it will always have more dragons in need of a familiar.” A small bear cub emerges from the wooden shed near the front of the enclosure and your heart softens. The guardian looks at it, her hard face softening. “How could you say no? And besides, the proceeds will help Goldheart get some decent fencing for the first time in its history. If payment is not received, I will put the bear back up for sale. [*] As of now, you are welcome to buy an unlimited amount of bears per set, but I may place limits if these are popular. [*] I am willing to do custom bears but pricing will vary depending on complexity. I am not willing to do body modifications at this point, so I’m not doing apparel at this time. If you would like a bear based on your dragon, it will be made to match your dragon but will not be made to look like your dragon (ex: it may take after your dragon’s butterfly secondary but not its runes tertiary).
