The Destination-Reachers are a small but quickly growing clan that inhabit a series of bamboo-infested, windy tunnels under the Zephyr Steppes. Here they have access to many varieties of insects and plants, lots of room for hatchlings to grow, and perfect conditions for flight. The Zephyr Steppes have been called the most peaceful place in all of Sornieth, and those of the Destination-Reachers agree.

The other thing that has been said, indeed of all the Windswept Plateau, is that it is a land of travelers and wanderers, those who never stayed tied down in one place, who make the most of their time in one place before whisking themselves onto the next. An old and weathered Guardian wished to change this, starting with herself, and she made a home and swore off leaving, swore off being torn away from a peacefulness she felt she had never known before.

When an older Fae found himself in the same place for a similar reason, the Guardian was struck by the sameness of their desire for stability in this windy land, and offered up her home to him. Since then, many have passed through. Some only stay for short periods of time, finding the calling of the wind too strong, and Cari and Peep never try to stop them. Some come and go, using the clan’s lair as a temporary refuge, and they are never refused. Some, however, choose to stay, and always for the same reasons as the Guardian and the Fae: they had reached their destination.

hey i was checking through witchhazel's offspring list while bored, and Oko's little lore snipper is so wholesome and heartwarming. that nod to the traveler's tree is just beautiful to the soul ahhh thank you
