The Arcane Spire 
A clan originating from the Lightning Flight moved across the realms to find new swaths of knowledge that they'd heard of from the Arcane Flight.
On a mountain peak of a floating island between the
Crystalspine Reaches and the Starwood Strand, a few Lightning Dragons arrived with a dislike of the way things were run back home. The energy of the place was different and new, enough to keep the attention of their curiosity.
With their knowledge of technology, they built a spire at
the peak, harnessing what energy they could, be it by electrical storm or magic. The fierce first few defended the island viciously. Any who showed up either joined or were forced away. Luckily, some of the newcomers managed to get on the good sides of the founders and stayed, inviting others more eagerly to join. Since then the island has been defended constantly, with research being done by secretive dragons, but it is not entirely closed off to the curious.
