It's rare for an adult dragon to stay in Ulvan for more than a few weeks, as it is a role only able to be attained through complete lack of sacrifice. When one is Ulvan for too long, they are forced to choose between leaving the clan, becoming Verna, or performing a sacrifice to fit into a more normal role.
