One of view remaining Elder Vampire houses left. The House of Nota is run by the Mark family. They are set in their ways and traditions, which stem from the ideals that males are superior and females are there to bear offspring (hopefully males) and to be silent. However, within a more modern time, even some of the patriarchal hierarchy is realizing that these beliefs are outdated and should have been done away with long ago, while others think the old ways should stay in place.
