Since the clan is spread out between the tidepools and the greatest depths of the ocean, sending messages between sub-lairs can be... interesting, to say the least. Those stuck above the waves don't often have a witch at their disposal, and forget seers unless you're at the very bottom- they rarely stray far from each other, and heaven forbid they go above the trenches.
