Though the Plaguebringer's message is often brought in silence, in whispers and a breeze of foul air and creeping fungus, some dragons are more eager than others to speed things along. The Vanguard uses their fangs and claws to tear open flesh, to infect immediately with a bone-deep violence, to hasten death and decay with their bloodlust. They revel in the grotesque, though perhaps cannot fully appreciate its subtler, slower varieties.
