For now at least with Umbra’s kids I’ve taken the last one off the ah and any future ones will be sold through crossroads unless i desperately need room, until she’s asked for because I might keep her if no one does I mean look at these scrys XD

Those are some visually striking scries.
What someone does with their dragon after they purchase it is their prerogative. I certainly agree with you that spending 20g on a dragon you plan to exalt is a waste of gems. There is no way to recoup that expenditure.
Waiting for someone to request to buy the dragon is my practice. If I think it is going to be exalted then I will just exalt the dragon myself. I’ll typically try to sell the dragon through AH after advertising on the forums doesn’t work. Exalting is last resort for me.

In my case I exalt them after they are adults mainly because I lack the room to keep them regardless I’ll wait until she’s a adult before I decide if I wanna keep both her and her brother, I was keeping her son because as far as I’m concerned he’s her first official son as the kids before that are not around anymore.
But do I like lace or koi more I’m leaning more towards koi honestly but then again I love colorful things XD
