Apprentice training is going great. Hawkpaw will probably become a warrior a moon early.
On a similar note, Butterflykit and Swiftkit are ready to become apprentices, and Minnowsplash is finally free to return to her warrior duties, but it's not the same returning to her nest without Clearflight. Butterflypaw will be mentored by Rosefrost, and Swiftpaw will be mentored by Henfeather.
Cloudburst gives birth to two healthy kits:
Owlkit (Large gray tabby tom) and
Violetkit (Gray and white she-kit).
Fidgetfeather gets too nervous to talk about his feelings with Willowtuft this moon, and she doesn't bring it up either.
Lore bit/prose:
Minnowsplash set her paws on the cool nest, the moss strewn and tattered from disuse. She tried to push the pieces back together, but she gave up half way through. It would never be whole again anyway.
She lay down on the scattered moss, setting her chin down on her paws, and closed her eyes. However, sleep did not come. Her body couldn't help but imagine a warmth beside it, twin bodies in the cold night. Her eyes drifted open, expecting to see white fur, but they took in nothing but the cold moss.
She could bury her nose in it and just faintly catch his scent. Maybe if she buried herself further into the moss, she would find him. Maybe if she clawed up the earth, she would hit fur, and he would ask where she'd been all this time.
Yes, she was with him now under the moss, chasing mice and climbing trees. He had been here all along, waiting for her. She never... lost him...
She opened her eyes, and her surprise did not lessen at the emptiness. It was as if her eyes could not accept it to contain anything less than him. They were always expecting... and always disappointed.

Also to clarify, the queer cat having children rule only happens at moon 6 and moon 12 and will be ignored if another cat gets prego first or there are too many cats. I realize that this make it very difficult for them to have kits, but I will only remember to roll at these times (and these restrictions keep overpopulation down).

Squirrelheart dies of an unknown cause in Moon 8.
Graypaw, Bearpaw, Timberheart, Breezestep, Clearflight, Lynxstrike, Tallnight, and Redmoon are killed by Fireclan cats in Moon 9.
Sunstar loses a life to Fireclan cats in Moon 9.
