If we're only picking from the old color wheel (my fave colors are all post-expansion), then I'd probably leave him as is, Slate/Gold, though I might want a different element so his eyes match his colors better (Earth, Fire, Light). I feel like Slate/Gold is very much [i]him[/i] at this point and I also feel like geneing him differently changes his character too much, even if both colors have very matchy accents.

i don't remember why i chose mirror, if we got to see info about breeds on sign up, but if i had to guess i liked the vibes mirrors have (still do!). i picked shadow and ice because i wanted a dark dragon with a faint purple hue, but i thought having him be JUST dark purple was boring, so i picked ice because i liked the idea of a blue secondary, but didn't like how strong the other blues were. i don't know if i was aware tertiary colors existed, or that i could change his genes, so i mostly was aiming for something that looked nice as is. i still really love him and wouldn't dream of changing his colors, though i'm considering regening him since i want something more exciting than what he has right now (jaguar/myrid/sparkle)

i'm still very pleased with my progens and i wouldn't change them for the world if we actually somehow [i]did[/i] get the option to remake them now, but it's a fun hypothetical!
if i were to remake my custom without any knowledge i've gained since joining, i'd likely go for something black, purple, or maybe red. definitely still male, likely guardian instead of mirror though tbh it's a toss up, and most likely arcane or plague, with a small chance of picking shadow or wind. i bet i'd most likely pick mulberry/something purple, shadow/mulberry or other purple, or black/shadow or something purple

if i could remake my custom WITH knowledge i've learned about fr since, i'd definitely pick male guardian, probably still arcane since i've come to truly appreciate just how well arcane's themes and ideals suit me (though admittedly plague still calls me in my heart), and i think i'd either go black/shadow or mulberry (i recently saw a black/shadow dragon with gorgeous genes and i can't stop thinking about them), something with steel because it's become one of my favorite colors, or i'd do something completely off the wall like spring/violet or royal because they're all disaster colors that i absolutely love
