I'm personally neutral on this having joined before the expansion, but no support solely because staff have been pretty firm on their stance regarding this. If it was something that they haven't commented on yet, then sure, but I don't think they'll sway their opinion.

I have a thought: what if, Flight Rising allowed us to remake our custom progenitor once and included the newer colors as well? Just like how you may choose a flight in the beginning, and then after playing it, realize you're not satisfied with that flight, and want to move flights - your first flight change is free.

Similarly, I'm sure after getting into the game, people realize more what types of colorations work best that they want to go for, which they didn't really have a good understanding of when creating their progenitor when they first started out. Why not allow the same idea - one free progenitor change, too, with the entire color wheel both as starting options and remaking options.

This way, it's fair to both old and new players, and I'm sure many people would happily change their progenitor's colors to something they like a lot more, and works better for their lair schemes and whatnot.

I can see a few issues with this idea, namely taking advantage of making two different ranges, or having an influx of double (XXY) progenitors since those are more rare in a G1. However, there's nothing stopping someone from making an XXY to begin with, and temporarily having a different range in someone's G1 that they can make with other dragons doesn't seem like that big of a deal when scatterscrolls exist, and you can already do that on your G1s, just for a 350 gems price.

EDIT: Worth mentioning, with this idea, you can only do this with your custom progenitor. Your random mate progenitor cannot be re-rolled; since it was given randomly, if veteran players wanted to update their random mate progenitor to the newer color wheel, just scatterscroll.

Why are people talking about remaking their old progens? This thread is about letting new players select from all the colors when making their account.

I have thought this since the color expansion first came out, the argument was completely nonsensical to me. I didn't get to choose the new colors when I made my progens, because those colors didn't exist. Now they do exist, so new players should absolutely be allowed to use them.

It would be great to see this amended, especially since the new colors have now been onsite for way longer than they weren't on the site.

I'd honestly love to see an option for a new plentiful breed or two to be added for progen creation too - freshen it up for new players, AND have some new, affordable breeds with those fast breeding cooldowns.

im an older player too, and i'm on board with making them available. don't see any reason not too - though you can bet if it had been around when i joined the site, i definitely would've make my progen Abyss/Abyss lol

I've been playing for years, and I'll always support this whenever this comes up - Progens have virtually zero impact on the site, I see no reason to stop newcomers from using more options. It's a dragon that will never leave their lair, who cares.

I think people should be able to reroll their progens if they want to, too. It should be like, an opt-in thing - or better yet, a clanbound reroll vial of some sort. That way maybe not everyone will use it right away so the server concerns might be alleviated there. Because I bred my progens a TON, and then decided I wanted a G1 Unbred Lore Lair lol, so I don't care if I get to reroll them or not. They're still in my lair, but as stock trainers. I don't care if I can't re-customize them because I actually do like how they look as is, but also, they're not a part of my lore.

Full support. Don't care about remaking my progen colors, it literally doesnt matter. We don't need to make it fair. Just expand for the newer players.
