A
lot of genes are messed up. :( Some of them have been known errors that will be fixed “as soon as possible” since June 2016- over 2 years ago.
I like getting new genes, and they’re necessary for the game to survive, but the backlog of artwork/gene errors is getting to be honestly kinda ridiculous. I’d really like to see them get fixed soon— new genes are great, but if you never fix bugs and issues, the site starts to get kinda sloppy-looking... I don’t think we’ve had any gene fixes since the CWE expanded in 2016. Maybe one or two, but it doesn’t even scratch the growing pile of errors. D:
Some examples:
Female Tundras’ eye sockets are supposed to be coloured like the sockets on males and hatchlings. This has been a “known error” since June 2016.
Iridescent and Shimmer on all new CWE colours, as well as all Iri/Shim colours on Bogsneaks, has its shading set at an incorrect opacity. This has also been a “known error” since June 2016.
Ultramarine Seraph is glitched on all breeds and genders— the “pale” colour is #000000 black instead of light blue.
Mist Seraph on male Ridgebacks’ front wing is also, uh, bugged.
Smirch escapes the lineart on female Nocs.
Underbelly also escapes the lineart on female Bogsneaks (the tail).
And Contour on WC hatchlings...
And Ghost on male Ridgebacks (front foot)...
Male Ridgebacks are also missing their shine with Iridescent on one of their chest scales.
Python/Morph is glitched on female PCs— the main body colour is missing! Happens to all colours. It doesn’t look like this on PC hatchlings or males, or any other breed. Example of how it should look:
And that’s the tip of the iceberg. Off the top of my head, there is also:
- Seraph on male PCs has a weird extra line
- Okapi is missing from Guardian hatchlings’ back legs
- Vermillion Shimmer displays the incorrect colour on (female?) Coatls
- Noxtide’s markings are missing from male Coatls’ butt wings (markings are there on females)
- Male Nocturnes’ neck frill shading is suddenly gone with Noxtide
- Runes doesn’t cover half of female Tundras’ horns
