not to sound like a complainy carla but FR staff... pls... i love new genes as much as the next person but like for example:

ringlets is still completely wrong on like, all breeds, and that wasnt even a little bit fixed before these new genes came out

like just one look at the color/art error forum can show how badly ringlets is messed up. just thought id share a thought i had, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things

Not to rock the boat.. but ringlets is not even that big of a deal? Its a pretty recent one. We still have gene color errors on genes out before the colorwheel update - and of course the Iri/shim bug that came WITH the colorwheel update. That has been years now without a fix in sight. I doubt they will stop releasing new stuff until the old is fixed. We might be waiting a few year still - either for new genes or for them to do the fixes.

@ekon i know theres other fixes to be done. ringlets is just the most recent one, and has an issue with every breed, gender, and color, so it seemed most prominent to me while making the post
just wish there was some priority with bug fixes in general i guess
but thank god we can put hearts in dragon bios now lmao

I might be wrong, but I think there was something said about fixing Iridescent when the color wheel update came out two (three?) years ago, so in general, yes, I support at least a confirmation where and what genes have issues that might/will be fixed.

A lot of genes are messed up. :( Some of them have been known errors that will be fixed “as soon as possible” since June 2016- over 2 years ago. I like getting new genes, and they’re necessary for the game to survive, but the backlog of artwork/gene errors is getting to be honestly kinda ridiculous. I’d really like to see them get fixed soon— new genes are great, but if you never fix bugs and issues, the site starts to get kinda sloppy-looking... I don’t think we’ve had any gene fixes since the CWE expanded in 2016. Maybe one or two, but it doesn’t even scratch the growing pile of errors. D: Some examples: Female Tundras’ eye sockets are supposed to be coloured like the sockets on males and hatchlings. This has also been a “known error” since June 2016. Off the top of my head, there is also: - Seraph on male PCs has a weird extra line - Okapi is missing from Guardian hatchlings’ back legs - Vermillion Shimmer displays the incorrect colour on (female?) Coatls - Noxtide’s markings are missing from male Coatls’ butt wings (markings are there on females) - Male Nocturnes’ neck frill shading is suddenly gone with Noxtide - Runes doesn’t cover half of female Tundras’ horns

I SUPPORT. I never even saw any of these mistakes, but now that they're being pointed out, I'll sadly probably never un-see them :| and it does make the dragons look a little bit sloppier

it would be nice to see these fixed. i love new genes but noticable errors in older genes can be really offputting the error with runes on female tundras is especially noticable with contrasting colours vs

I hope some anatomy/perspective issues get tweaked. IMO, it would help the FR artists a lot if they made a "skeleton" model of the dragon--at least somehow, behind the scenes, had a red-lined basic model so artists know where what is. Spines is a huge culprit of this, not lining up with where the spines are on other genes. One example of many, behold the beautiful two spined guardian baby. If writers are supposed to "show not tell," why are we called "storytellers" and not "storyshow-ers"?
I'd love gene fixes but I am fairly sure each gene is a contacted creation meaning if they needed changes that staff would have to pay the artists for them- and they probably do not like the idea of paying $$$ to fix something when they could use the money on something else to distract from the genes :D

That is not to say, with very wishful thinking, that I would not love gene fixes. I would especially love iridescent gene fix

Those ones should be easy enough to fix without having to get the artists to correct them, I think. The artwork is technically already there; it just isn't displaying correctly due to an error in whatever automated system they use. But... yeah, since some of these have been around for literal years with nothing happening, I'm not so sure that any of them will ever be fixed. :'u
