Suggestions

I was talking with my friend, and we started talking about a Water breed based off of betta fish! They have bigger fins and brighter colors. As hatchlings, they do not yet have the fins that they will have as adults: they grow into these as they age. -The males are much more aggressive than the females, who are mostly passive. The males will often acquire a collection of scars and ripped fins. -This aggressiveness only extends to other males, however. They tend to get along quite well with other breeds, enjoying games such as tag. -Their diet consists of mainly insects, and also some plants. -They prefer to live in shallow, warm waters. They enjoy lounging around, lying on aquatic plants and basking in the sun. -Their small wings are not very useful for flight, but are instead used for navigating underwater. -The males will flare their wings as a sign of aggression. Dragons with larger wings are seen as more intimidating than those with small wings. @Gloomy I seriously love the idea, we need a more aquatic looking breed. The lore sounds great so far. Beta fish are an interesting concept. I really like the traits you chose to give them - webbed feet, whiskers, small ears and the fins. The little one has the cutest face! The drawings are really well done. One suggestion though: maybe you could make their body a bit more streamlined? The long limbs are graceful, but they look more like wind breed to me. Here are a few nice examples - none of the pictures are mine though. Maybe the wings can be a bit more fin like as well. Thank you for the feedback, and the examples! I can definitely see what you mean about them looking like a wind breed: I think I was focusing too much on making them look "flowy and elegant" and ended up with more "noodley" than anything else, haha!

Oh my goodness, these are so cute!! I'd love to see a betta breed like this, they'd be wonderful.

Support! We need some more dragons on here, the design you made for the Betta dragon looks so cute! I know my little sister would love it as well, she used to have a Betta fish and loved him so much.

do you mind if I doodle something based on my betta? I love the idea and since bettas are so varied as a general population there is a possibility of multible closely related breeds.. or something.
