Complete support for everything mentioned so far. It makes me feel trapped when I can't even pause between levels, much less at any time I need to, in order to chat with a friend on Skype or play with my pets or run to the bathroom. It can get really anxiety-inducing after a while, so that I have to just step away entirely. And it's definitely annoying having the timer keep ticking and the blocks be unmovable while combos are happening. It makes something which should be good (combos) actually become a terrible thing.
Support for pause during combos and also just a general pause button because it's really annoying to have to lose the game when I just need to step away for a second.
