[emoji=gust size=1] Fawful [emoji=red star size=1] After straightening himself on the lift, Fawful shot glance towards Daya. His large set of teeth morphed into a look of confusion. Where is the right arm on this thing of stupid? Then his regular manic smile returned to his face. He imagined shooting the vessel's cloak, lighting it on fire– or freezing it! Fawful loved to play with settings on his trusty weapon– and forcing them to show him their secrets. But... he didn't have his ray gun. And Daya was probably his only way of navigating this strange new world. He huffed, disappointed. He made a note of it for future mischief. Actually, thinking about it now, Daya wasn't his only way of figuring this world out. Some of his Fawfulcopters got sucked in the portal as well! How could I be forgetting such useful things of usefulness? He comically bonked himself on the head. Humming a tune to himself, Fawful pulled out a red, DS-looking device to check the status of his Fawfulcopters.

Daya
Noticing movement out of the corner of their eye, Daya looked at Fawful just in time for his confused expression to morph back to his usual grin, and shuddered a bit. Something about that grin unsettled the vessel, though they couldn't figure out what. They watched as he bonked himself on the head, and was about to turn around to hop out of the elevator when Fawful pulled out a strange device.

Suddenly, Daya's attention was all on the unfamiliar device in Fawful's hands, even though the elevator had clanked to a stop. It was like nothing they'd ever seen before, and far-cry from the relatively simple machinery found in Hallownest. Silently, Daya watched as Fawful navigated through the device's functions to check on the status of some things. They had a bit of trouble seeing the screen though, as they were much smaller than the Bean, their horns only just reaching the bottom of his smile.

[emoji=gust size=1] Fawful [emoji=red star size=1] "I have fury..." Fawful growled as he searched through the device in his hands. From what his readings were giving him, all of his Fawfulcopters in the nearest vicinity were down. It seemed none of them had survived the tumble onto the cobblestone. "Stupid things of stupid! Useless as wheat bread for making the sandwich of deliciousness." He voiced his anger out loud, purposely avoiding the fact that he had been the one who had invented the "stupid things of stupid". He was about to put the thing away when he felt eyes on him (well, eyes in a figurative sense, as the being next to him did not have any). Fawful looked down at Daya with a sneer. Though, in a few moments, the sneer grew back into a large grin. "Are you wanting the machine of amazingness that Fawful had the making of?" he asked, wiggling the small device in the air.

Daya
Daya didn't know what all the things on the machine meant, nor did they know what Fawful meant by 'stupid things of stupid'. This stranger was new to here, that was for sure.

As Fawful asked Daya if they wanted it, the vessel asked a question of their own. "What that?"

[emoji=gust size=1] Fawful [emoji=red star size=1] "Are you not hearing?" Fawful scoffed, "Are you having mushrooms in your... ears...?" he trailed off, realizing that the small creature did not have any visible ears. "It is machine of amazingness! And... it is not being a thing that is for you!" The Bean laughed, tucking the device back into his cloak. "You are a bone of a chicken who is stupid!" After noticing that the lift had stopped, Fawful took the first step off of it. The humor he had found in tormenting Daya moments before helped, if only a little bit, to mask his worry. He could possibly be stuck in this strange dimension forever! He was down for a life in a place of darkness, like the Hallownest, but not when said place wanted to kill him if he took one wrong step. He would have to find a way to build a new portal...

Daya
Once Fawful put away the device, Daya realized the lift had stopped. They quickly pushed past the Bean, looking around at the area. Up wasn't an option, at least not for Fawful, the handholds and footholds carved into the upwards shaft were rather small, and it'd be very hard for the Bean to get his hands around them. In front of them was some room with a light coming from it, but for some reason Daya seemed wary to approach it.

[emoji=gust size=1] Fawful [emoji=red star size=1] Fawful grinded his teeth together in anger. "Do not be pushing Fawful!" He glared daggers at Daya, pulling on one of their horns to bring them back behind him. The enraged Bean did not take notice of his companion's caution; he saw the light ahead and, considering the state of the rest of the dark world around him, he thought it was a good idea to go into the room. So, his feet started taking him in that direction.

Daya
Daya nearly fell into Fawful when pulled on one of their horns, and instinctively whirled around to hit him. The vessel pulled their punch when they realized it was just Fawful, instead grabbing onto his cloak. Despite being smaller than the Bean, the vessel easily held him back, keeping him from going towards the lit room.
"Don't trust." they said, with no clarification. Though it could be inferred that Daya didn't trust the lit room, or whoever may be in it.

(Sorry for taking so long to reply, I needed to take a break from FR for a bit) [emoji=gust size=1] Fawful [emoji=red star size=1] Fawful whipped his head around to face Daya again. Not reading into the vessel's words, he simply laughed at them. "I have chortles! Fawful is the one who you should have no trust for, head of dog bones!" When he tried to make another step towards the lit-up room, he realized that Daya had a pretty good grip on him. His swirled eyes looked down at where they were holding onto his cloak. He couldn't help but be offended– when the Beanish was really little (well, littler), he had a habit of tugging on Cackletta's cloak out of excitement. Every time he did, however, he would be greeted with a sharp bolt of magical lightning. She told him that everyone should treat a villain with respect, especially their attire of choice. He felt his eyes sting as the memory of his mistress resurfaced. "Do not have the touching of the cloak that is mine!" he said, shoving the little vessel off. "It is not for the touching!"

Daya
Daya held fast, even tightening their grip on Fawful's cloak. There was a determination in their eyes, a certain protectiveness over this stranger that was running into danger, as far as the little vessel saw it. However, their grip came loose with Fawful's particularly vicious shove, leaving him free to march onward. Though, only for a moment.

Daya quickly maneuvered themself in front of Fawful, holding their small arms out to keep him from going further. Or, at least it would've been more effective, except the vessel's right arm ended abruptly in a scarred stump just past their elbow. They had momentarily forgotten about that as they tried to keep Fawful from moving forward.

"Dangerous! Trap!" they said in a borderline desperate attempt to warn Fawful.
