The Hidden City

OOC: https://www1.flightrising.com/forums/rp/2926900/1
Animuses are controlled by the queens, slowly being corrupted without notice. Three skywing/Icewing dragons realized how much the world was corrupting. Their names were Vulture, Falcon, and plateau. They flew around the desert, trying to find a place where they could create their refuge. When they did, It took almost a year to create the city purely out of their magic. They swore never to use their magic again. As they felt they’d become corrupted. Secretly, they sent letters off to animuses they knew lived in the continent. When the guests arrived, others did too. The city slowly grew to the point that it was starting to lose it’s camouflage. The citizens of the city created a barrier to keep the city unseen from other dragons. As time went on, new hybrids and species emerged to to the mass amounts of crossbreeding. Of course, there is still the regular dragon full bred species, although they are rather hard to find now.

Suddenly, one day. The barrier started shattering. Slowly losing it’s magic. The Second founding Skywing was assassinated, and the other two went into hiding. The story takes place with you, learning in the School for gifted animus dragonets. Suddenly, the barrier shatters and the city is no longer hidden. Five dragonets have to face the dangers of the other kingdoms before it’s too late, and the city is destroyed…

Drone

Drone was mostly getting ready for school. He had to drag his little sister out of bed. (Which was an absolute pain) After what seemed like hours, he picked up his pet scavenger and they exited the den and took flight. It was busy as usual. Several hybrids flying building to building. Then, there was a glass-like barrier that kept them safe. It looked a lot like purple stained glass. However, for the dragons outside, it was completely invisible. They landed when they were close enough to walk the rest of the way, as colowings are more skilled at walking than flying.

His sister, was running ahead of him excitedly, "Cmon slow-poke! we're gonna be late!" She yelled.

"I don't think we've ever been late before.." Drone called back. He then ran after her. his scavenger, was clinging tightly to one of his spines. He wasn't exactly excited, as he wasn't that great with socializing. usually he'd end up with having an awkward conversation with other dragons. He did try talking to others if he had to though... He preferred to speak to his scavenger, who knew how to speak dragon. Although, he never spoke in front of other dragons before. They eventually made it to the school. It was already flooding with several students. All of them were here to learn how to use their gifts. Some, didn't have it, yet still came to learn about basic things. such as history, combat, hunting, and probably much more he couldn't remember. He entered the school and immediately lost sight of his sister, Termite. "Not again..." He groaned.

Maravilla

Maravilla had a hard time waking up."Ugghh." She groaned. Just a few more minutes... She thought to herself and closed her eyes.

---Hour later for her---

She was too asleep to noticed time went by??? "DARN IT." She said and got ready.
Maravilla lived with her aunt but she wasn't there most of the time since she was always busy with something. She was fine with that, her aunt taught her how to hunt.

She got her bag and flew away to school. Pheww that was close, ill be there in no time! Maravilla arrived at school, there were dragons going in and she did too. She wasn't too sure what to do since her aunt taught her instead of taking her to school.

Lumina
Lumina had a grin on her face as she flew towards her way to the school. Though thought that she was going to be late when she was talking to her mom, even though it was for a few minutes. Lumina could even see her older cousin keeping watch around the streets. Being inspired of how her cousin acts in certain situations, she wants to be similar to him once she becomes a guard like him.

Her father was busy with his own things though so she didn’t see him this morning, but guessed that was ok. Maybe she should hide his many scrolls before he comes home? She knows that would be great to watch. She neared the school when she saw multiple hybrids and many other dragons, wondering if there would be teachings of magic, though who knows?

Lumina’s Iridescent scales shimmered lightly under the sun, changing from dark blue to a lighter shade of purple almost like a fish’s silver scales. Though when she entered the school, her scales changed to a darker blue due to being inside the school. And so she looked around excitedly with a slight flick of the tip of her black tipped tail.

K'net
Deep breath in, deep breath out. K'net rustled his wings a little anxiously as he prepared to leave his house, the little gold rings on their edges rattling softly. No one would confront him on his way to school, he reminded himself. Or at least, they probably wouldn't. People in his part of the city were used to seeing him around, and further afield, well... anybody who got in the way of a firescales was pretty stupid.

He waved his tail in a quick goodbye to his father, his mom was already at work. And with that, he was off, launching into the sky with a quick flap of his wings. K'net probably could have walked to school from his house, but the streets were crowded, and if he flew high enough, it was easy to avoid coming into contact with other dragons. But flying everywhere at unnecessarily high altitudes meant he also made a lot of unnecessarily dramatic entrances as a consequence, and it would be much the same today. He pulled into a steep dive as the school came into sight, aiming to land a few yards from the entrance to minimize the chances of landing near a crowd of students. His wings flared wide to brake his dive a little earlier than most dragons might, before tucking them as close to his body as he could manage without accidentally going into freefall. Instead, he made a rather steep glide to the ground. No need to risk smacking anyone with his wings when he landed, even if he couldn't actually hurt anyone at the moment.

K'net rustled his wings again, out of habit, then half spread them, making him look bigger, filling up and owning the space around him. Then he strolled into the school, tail lashing slowly from side to side and head held high. Thin tendrils of smoke occasionally went spiraling off his scales or away from his talons, and his jewelry glinted and clanked softly. K'net was hard to miss. He made sure of it.

Drone

He Didn't have too much worry, since they had separate classes. "Alright, Let's go." He said to his pet scavenger, which nodded in agreement. He walked through the halls, seeing several student dragons of almost the same ages as him. Nobody seemed to notice his pet scavenger, which was honestly the best thing ever. He was afraid that someone would try to eat him as a snack. Amber was a feisty little creature. Hearing Amber yell at another dragon would surprise them, since he could speak dragon.

Drone didn't know much of the scavenger language, but it was enough for him to talk to other scavengers if he ran into them. Scavengers were smart, he had to admit. heck, amber loved to carve dragons he saw out of small scraps of wood or pieces of rocks. He had his own collection back at the den.

Drone then, entered a familiar classroom. It was the magic training classroom. A older seawing was already here. this was their teacher, Emerald. In his opinion, she was sweet. She was also one of the only dragons amber would talk to. "Why do I have to come with you to school? None of this has to do with meeeeeee." Amber complained. "Because father doesn't like you much. He'd eat you in a heartbeat." Drone responded. The scavenger huffed, as if he was a little upset. "I'll find something in the art room so you can carve something, alright?" Drone said. This, seemed to brighten up the scavenger's mood.

Lumina
Lumina could see many dragons of all kinds and many others taller than her since she is in fact sort of small. But she tries to not let other’s height bother her. Lumina could see someone going into a classroom, though she isn’t sure where to go first. Maybe if she could follow that one brownish colored dragon, that could be ok. Though once she heard the clanking of jewelry, she looked around to see a rather very big Skywing.

Lumina seemed to stare at him and watched his every move as she could see him acting like some kind of royal. Or at least that was what she viewed him as. Lumina started giggling a little as she watched. But is curious on what kind of drama he would make. But she thinks that he would surely be some kind of ‘Drama Queen’. But as she thought about that, she started to change from giggling to actually laughing. Lumina doesn’t mean any harm by this, but she can’t help but be curious.

She then disappeared from the crowd and a few dragonets who looked at her with odd looks. After a few moments she slowly followed the Skywing hybrid and tried to copy him, copying his movements, curious to where he would go as she watched every move he makes and acts like his ‘shadow’.

K'net loosely trailed a brown dragon through the halls, keeping an eye on the dragons around him to make sure no one got too close. Pretty much everyone steered clear of him, if not for his scales than for the swaying sandwing barb on his tail, which was not kept safely curled in the typical, polite fashion of most sandwings. He was careful, though, and any extra deterrent against dragons coming too close to him was a good thing.

A quiet laugh from behind him pulled his attention to a prismwing behind him. ...She was a little closer to him than K'net would have liked, and she seemed to be imitating him. It was unusual, but K'net knew he was a little ridiculous, and was glad someone else saw it that way too. He offered the stranger a little smirk before curling his tail into a safer position. If someone was going to be following him, he might as well not risk smacking them with his tail barb. It might not be poisonous, but that didn't make in any safer.

He considered trying to say hi, but they had to get to class. Instead, he lead the way through the doorway he'd seen the colowing go through, and found himself a seat in the back, where he sat neatly, wrapping his tail around his talons and keeping his proud posture.

Amber

Amber was here, being taken around the place with Drone. He wasn't sure how exactly the 'pet' thing worked. He always thought that Drone was his pet. Ah, well... Being here with the dragons wasn't that bad! In fact, it may have been better than it was back at the village. He even learned their language, which felt like forever to nail down. He didn't have to worry about dragons eating him. (Mostly because Drone would yell at anyone who tried to eat him. And that only happened when Drone's father was in a snacky mood..)

"Why do I have to come with you to school? None of this has to do with meeeeeee." Amber complained. "Because father doesn't like you much. He'd eat you in a heartbeat." Drone responded. Amber huffed , not liking the Idea that he'd have to listen to lectures all day that weren't even for him. "I'll find something in the art room so you can carve something, alright?" Drone said. Amber brightened up. He loved carving! There were soooooooooo many different shapes and sizes of dragons here. It was always interesting to try carving a new dragon. (Unlike back at the villages where they did the same basic dragons. Mostly mud dragons-)

Amber peeked over when he saw a new dragon enter the classroom. He climbed up on Drone's shoulder and sat down. Legs dangling as if he was on a swing or something. He faced the back of the room, looking at the mountain/desert dragon hybrid? It seemed like that.. He waved at the dragon, trying to say 'hi' without speaking, since speaking dragon freaked some dragons out...

Lumina
Lumina entered the classroom behind the Skywing hybrid, seeing him sit down, she decided to leave him alone since she had her little fun as she sat in the middle, close to the front as she grinned. And glancing to the side she could see the brownish Colowing from before. But she could see the scavenger too. She watched the scavenger with interest since she barely see’s any of them, but she continued to have a small smile on her face. Though she wondered...Was her happy attitude contagious?

Then Lumina looked around the rest of the classroom after a while of watching the scavenger, seeing all kinds of dragons, some of them talking to one another while she waited for the teacher as the black tip of her tail lightly tapped the ground, focusing on her rhythm of the beat in her mind. So far it doesn’t seem the day would start off horrible which would be nice.

Some of the light in the classroom touched some of her scales which made wherever the light reflected on her turned into more of a purple color. Which was much lighter than the dark blue scales that stuck in the shadows. Her shard like purple shaded wings were tucked comfortably against her sides as she looked around a little.
