Blinking around, you check the map for the entrance to the lab. It should be around here somewhere... Looking at the ground, you notice a few strangely shaped mounds of snow and rock, leading towards a hidden security door. Landing beside the door, you can hear muffled voices, hushed whispers, and the tapping of footsteps. Knocking lightly on the frame, the footsteps drew nearer and you shuffled nervously from foot to foot. Slowly, the door opens and you are greeted by several security guards, who lead you to your interview. Entering the room, you encounter a tall Imperial wearing a lab coat, who introduces himself as Deathcheater. “Welcome. I am Head Scientist and I will be conducting your interview. Please, sit.” You got through the interview and was hired as a scientist. Just as you were about to leave the Imperial spoke again. "Be good, or be an experiment." His message boomed in your head, and it was the only thing you thought of as you stumbled out. Watching you leave, Deathcheater whispered softly, just soft enough so that only you can hear what he said. “You either die a monster, or live long enough to see yourself become one.” Subject backstory: ~Some time ago~ White. White white white white. You groan as you wake up in your cell, shaking your head to clear the fog. All you remember was your name, the chaos of your past life and getting shot by a tranquilizer dart and passing out. But you remember nothing of how you appeared here, in a black white sterile cell, surrounded by fellow prisoners just like you. After sitting alone for hours and nearly dying with boredom, you hear a door open. Making a lunge at the opening security door, you slam against it in a futile attempt to get out, initiating a loud bang to vibrate throughout the facility. An Imperial chuckles before motioning at one of the guards to enter the cell first. Burtally, said guard tackles you to the floor, restraining any movement as the Imperial enters. “Greetings Subject #[subject number]. My name is Deathcheater. This is Magnolias lab, and you are one of the experiments here! If you behave yourself, we will have happy to grant you rewards and privileges. However, if you misbehave…” The Imperial smirked before continuing on. “We will certainly make sure that you’ll wish that you didn’t.” You snare at the cyborg necromancer in response before he leaves. Silently, the guards file out after him, and soon it was just you and the cold white cell. Over time, you were taken in and out of rooms for tests, travelling while sedated. Sometimes, a subject would be dragged in front of your cell, looking sad, bitter or hopeless. The food you were given was the bare minimum enough to sustain you, just frozen nutrients and vitamins. Soon you got used to it. Over time, you heard of the multiple subjects in the lab, eavesdropping on scientists which passed by your cell. You heard of the hard-to-destroy hatchling 682, the rogue experiment 049, and the whispers and rumors of the dark past of Deathcheater as well as so much more. Days blurred into weeks, weeks blurred into months. In here, you weren’t [your name]. In here, you were Subject #[subject number] That was all that you were. Numbers. Starhunter is stronger than the average dragon, moves much faster, is countless times more endurable. Due to her regeneration, she can bash through steel if given enough time when agitated. Despite her eyes, Starhunter is a Shadow dragon and often uses her power to create illusions to amuse herself. She has been an experiment for such a long time that she doesn't remember anything other than her cell. Starhunter more or less gave up after several failed escape attempts. Her modifications involve enhanced regeneration and the capability to adapt to any attack, making her near indestructible. Despite her young attitude, scientists suspect her to be older than five decades but due to her regeneration its hard to determine. However, Starhunter is scared very easily, and cannot fight at all. Starhunter tries to reach out to other dragons no matter how many times they push her away. Having lost the memories of her true birth parents, Starhunter clings tight to the few people who show any sign of affection for her, making her easy to be manipulated. Starhunter can change her personality on a dime, from happy and bubbly to fierce and aggressive. The facility knows her as the indestructible hatchling who started countless riots back in the time when she tried to escape. However, most of the dragons who were there when Starhunter was found has long since passed away or have retired long ago so not many precautions are taken to ensure that the hatchling remains in her cell. Modifications: Enhanced regeneration and adaption Scientist: Deathcheater Scientist Notes: -Subject is jumpy and can't sit still for long -Subject eats more than the average dragon and her preferred food is Blue Sludge -Cannot bond with ANY familiars for unknown reason -Nearly indestructible -When a scientist is within 20ft radius of subject, subjects curls into tight ball -Subject is very co-operative(most of the time) -When any other dragon or experiment is within 20ft radius of subject, subject will begin greeting the dragon or experiment rapidly and attempt to make small talk -Startled easily -Has highly developed hearing -Likes attention -Starhunter doesn't like apparel, although likes trinkets Other: Most scientists don’t even know a time when Starhunter wasn’t there. She’s been living in the facility for over 5 decades. Name: Deathcheater Age: 500+/Unknown Gender: Male Rank: Head Scientist Experiments: 682(Starhunter) Amber Looks: Personality: He's a nice and charming cyborg scientist. Deathcheater seems quite charming when first spoke to, and looks like a scientist who cares a lot about the subjects. However, deep down, he's a twisted monster who has long since lost all traces of sanity. Deathcheater seems to be obsessed with (as his name suggests) cheating death. No dragon has ever seen beyond his charming exterior, and no one ever knows the madness that lurks deep down. Deathcheater is technically Starhunter's "father", as he created her from a cloned supposedly unfertile egg of a banescale. He has no idea of her existence and thinks that the egg died. Deathcheater has a sadistic and cruel side, although hides this well. His "modifications" should classify him as a subject, but he is still allowed to work as a scientist due to how long he has been working here(70+ years). Due to his cyborg implants, Deathcheater is stronger, faster, and more durable than the average dragon. He also has a hidden arsenal of weapons under the steel. However, he needs to monitor them frequently and they cause him pain when the irrigate his still normal flesh(hence the bandages). His experiments are...interesting to say the least. Cyborgs are his specialty. Backstory (Optional): Other: Deathcheater obviously shouldn't be alive. The deities definitely do not like him. Deathcheater has escaped death, capture, arrest, and the wrath of multiple gods for many many centuries, hiding in shadows and shades, using his own twisted inventions to keep himself alive. No dragon knows who he is, what he is. in fact, many aren't even sure that he's a dragon at all. Deathcheater shouldn't be here, Deathcheater shouldn't be alive. He, no it, uses forbidden magics and banned creations to defy life and death. He is Deathcheater. And he should not be alive. No dragon knows his past, no dragon has ever survived knowing. Questioning him is a bad idea unless you want to wake up on a surgery table with half your body transformed to clicking steel and mechanics. Other: He's a cyborg necromancer. Name: Unknown(you may call them Rogue) ID: 049 Age: Unknown Gender: Both/shifting (Can be referred to as “it”) Danger: Unknown/Rogue Looks: Description: 049 is a rogue experiment who was found a few decades ago. It took down many guards by infecting them with its strange plague before being taken down and locked up, however briefly. Not much is known about subject 049. They can change genders at will, and can teleport to anywhere within their sight. Higher endurance, stamina and strength were suspected. Subject is very hostile and will attack any subject or scientist they can see. Subject shows signs of higher intelligence. 049 is savage and eats 70% more than an average dragon. Subject seems to be infected with a strange new plague which infects other victims via physical contact with Subject 049. Said plague is highly infectious and highly dangerous, with a 99.7% mortality rate. Only dragon surviving the contamination is subject 049. 049 is very agile, strong as well as durable but has a high intellect. 049's outfit seems to be welded into its flesh, and carries the disease as well. 049 is a plague user. Subject is capable of rudimentary speech but speaks in utter gibberish, calling itself "the Plaguebringer's favored child." Subject seems to only wish to infect others with their special disease. Before further testing could be made, subject 049 breached containment via teleportation and was never recovered. Modifications/powers: Plague and teleportation Scientist: Dead Scientist Notes:Subject is currently rogue and highly dangerous. if found, do not approach or attempt physical contact. Subject is suspected with having regeneration and/or negation of powers Rogue's plague: The disease will cause massive hemorrhaging at site of contact, usually resulting in death through massive organ failure within the span of two hours. However, after death, the victim's brain will shut down and it enter a zombie-like trance, seemingly only capable of spreading the disease. Infected creatures will spread the disease via physical contact similar to 049. Such creatures are dubbed as 049-2. If contact is not made of organic material, black wisp like smoke will emit from site of contact and result in the death of the victim within 2 hours. After death, victim becomes another 049-2. Other: S/he's going to be an antagonist in the roleplay.

Deathcheater yawns as he wakes up, tapping his built-in watch on his mechanical wrist.
6:00 A.M.
Wow.
He was late.
Breakfast for the subjects was in half an hour if they behaved and first breakfast for the Hatchling(Starhunter) was in 15 minutes.
Time to get up.
Stretching half robotic joints, the Imperial rolled out of his cot and grabbed his lab coat and picked up the microphone, broadcasting to the entire facility.
"Greetings subjects and scientists. I expect you all to be at your posts and preparing to feed the experiments within 30 minutes. The Hatchling is to be fed in 15 minutes. Good day to all."
Clicking off the mic, the Imperial left to check on the hatchling.

///It ok
Meanwhile, Starhunter paced around her cell aimlessly. There wasn't much to do. That was, except wait for food to come. Sighing, the hatchling sat down and waited for breakfast.
Deathcheater watched the hatchling inside her cell, jotting down a few notes here and there and looked around the security that surrounded 682's cell with a grim expression. He remembered the days when the hatchling was surrounded with surveillance, multiple guards and thick security doors. Many many years ago, Starhunter used to be one feisty experiment, always escaping and causing riots. And now...
Shaking his head with pity, the Imperial watched the hatchling within.
And now she was just another co-operative experiment, waiting and waiting.
Waiting for a day which would never come.

Rasheeka was having a pleasant but dreamless sleep, snoring fairly loudly. Up until she was awoken by the announcement.
Oh crap! she thought. She got up, collecting the mulch and food she needed for her plant experiments. Wait, didn't she recently get assigned to a new subject? Six...uh...the first number was definitely six. She knew what her new experiment looks like though. Let's see here, two nutrient blocks and...why not, a small bowl of white strawberries. Nothing in the rules said she couldn't feed dragons fruit if they could digest it, nothing from what she read at the very least.

Rasheeka left her room, carrying the sustenance for all her subjects on her back.

Carefully picking up the last of the dropped syringes, Dream set them in a drawer in his desk. It would do for now, as he would have to find another contaminant box.

Looks like they were going to feed one of the subjects soon, and he would definitely need to be on standby in case anything happened. It was only made more apparent by the chirping noises starting up again.

Malachi stood in one of the subject hallways, observing each cell before the scientist were sent in with their food. She grumbled and rubbed her face. She glared over at the doors and simply waited

Midisa was curled in up in the corner of his warm cell. He slowly dragged his glowing tail across the ground before slapping it on the wall. A low growl rumbled in his throat before he shifted his face away from the door, pushing his snout into the corner.

Rasheeka jumped a bit at the sudden chirping. Was that chirping already there? She was kind of a heavy sleeper, it didn't surprise her that she would have slept past any chirping.
She'd better feed and fertilize her experiments. She's nothing if not a speedy gardener, that's necessary if she wanted to leave as much time as possible for research before she started working here.

First off, the subjects that needed food. The plants won't go hungry without nutrients for ten minutes, they don't even have nervous systems for that much less a stomach.
....It would be pretty freaky if there was a plant with a stomach.

She navigated the hallways, deciding to feed Six-whatever first. Best to leave a good first impression.
