LOL, concerned as in you think I should change anything? Or just, like, concerned for the character.

Concerned in general, its cold and icy outside, and as far as we know fire child has no den in which to be warm. I know for sure my character would happily take him in, though that is probably not the best choice.

Gotcha!
Will make note, he doesn't feel cold unless he is ill, because then his system is working on attacking the illness, not heating him up. Being a Phoenix means being a furnace, for most of the time. Good point tho, I didn't think of what to have him eat to keep his systems good....he has to eat fire (he can eat regular stuff but fire is best, or hot coals tbh), so yeah, he will probs be sick atm.

haha......so who likes angst? XD

Name: Greyling, goes by Grey

Age: 32 years approximately

Gender/Pronouns: She/Her

Sexuality: Ace

Species: Werewolf, Grey wolf

Occupation: Owner and caretaker of the Misty Mountain Tea shop.

Workplace: Like its owner, MMT can be a bit intimidating, though Grey and Rain did all they could to remedy that. The store sits in a rennovated movie theater, that had been long abandoned and was falling apart. With lots of time and care, and many buckets of plaster, the couple brought the shop back in safty standards. Unfortunately half of the second and top floor was unsaveable, and had to be collapsed. After it ahd been cleaned, Grey happily replaced the area with a garden. Other renovations made the place feel like home, such as giant bay windows installed downstairs to flood in natural light and new walls upstairs to make the basic layout of a home.

After the inital spook of a looming red brick building, the store front is actually quite welcoming, in the warmer months decorated with hanging flowers. In the winter months Grey spend hours drawing on the windows, decorating them with images of lit fireplaces and steaming hot coco. The inside is just as cosy, kept bright by the wide bay windows. Large tables surrounded colorfully cushioned chairs take up the majority of the space, though by the right bay window a reading nook sits. A pair of cushy sofas box off the area, along with a few beanbag chairs. A soft carpet decorates the hardwood floor. Bookshelves cover the walls in that area, filled with donated books and requests that Grey bought herself. A small basket offers up a varity of blankets and pillows. The back wall of the shop is mostly taken up by the kitchen, where Grey prepares tea and attempts to make food sometimes. The back wall itself is decorated with old photographs, depicting the movie theater in its prime and while Grey and Rain worked on it.

Grey's quarters are reached by a metal staircase on the ally side of the building, and consists of the basic home staples. A bedroom, bathroom, a small kitchenette(not a full kitchen), and a living room. The collapsed area of the second floor has been converted into a giant green house, filled with both familar herbs and exotic scents. Two bee hives buzz from twoards the back of the room.

Appearance: Standing tall and proud at 7' 2", Grey can be a bit imposing, glaring out at the world with icy-blue eyes. Due to her quicker metabolism, she also sports a more muscular figure, though it is mostly hidden under a thick coat. She was clearly a fighter in her past, with the edges of her ears being torn raggedy and a light red tint to her nails. Her fur is marred all over with scars, marked by almost white markings in thicker patches of fur, and just plain skin in thinner patches. The most prevalent scar is a large halfmoon shape at the base of her throat. Her coat itself is dappled grey, mainly a lighter shade, but with specks of darker coloring, especially near her hands and feet. Her nose and paw-pads are black as well. She boasts a small mane around her neck that mainly shows as a poof near her collarbone.

Her work outfit most often consists of a plain white t-shirt, a light green pair of shorts, and a light brown apron embroidered with the insignia of her shop, a pair of mountains with waifs of mist curling around their tips. Her off clothes consist a number of slightly oversized t-shirts and a pair of comfortable shorts. If she's working in the garden, a straw sunhat with holes for her ears will sit upon her head, with a tie under her chin. Grey finds it hard to shop for new clothes, as most are often too small or don't fit her body shape, so she prefers to look through thrift stores or custom order online. A simple iron band always sits on the ring finger of her right hand.

Personality: Despite her history, Grey is a naturally good humored person, always up to help or share in a good laugh. In fact, due to her history, she tends to be more sympathetic with the struggles, emotional and physical, of others and tends to be always supportive. She does however, tend to be a bit more jumpy than most people and jump to aggression when surprised. The residents of Forest Nook have long learned not to be aggressive near Grey, at the risk of a growling wolf. removed from her home at such a young age, she can struggle a bit with how to express her emotions, especially more negative emotions, which were seen as weakness in the ring. Grey always struggles a bit to trust people, especially if they make a bad first impression. But once you've earned her trust, she is loyal to a fault and always willing to help out. Grey still has a bit of a habit with believing violence is always the best answer, so its not always wise to heed her advice.

Backstory: Grey had a rougher childhood than most, though it started off great. She was born to a loving pack, in a large territory, under a successful leader and father. She was the youngest in a litter of three, and with two bigger brothers, she learned how to be scrappy quick. Her first few years of existence were great, the prey flowed well and her brothers were always at least partially gentle. But everything changed in a flash. One day so called "monster" hunters attacked the pack, with unknown intentions. It happened in the middle of the night, so the pack was unprepared for the flash of their guns and the panic their appearance produced. Most of the pack was easily able to escape, shape changing into pure wolves, but Grey had not learned that skill and was captured. The hunters fled after they claimed their prize, leaving Grey's pack mourning and infuriated. Unknown to her, they moved the pack to a safer location, all the while missing their youngest pup.

After a long journey, far from home, the hunters sold Grey to an underground fight club. She had not earned her name yet, so they called her Grey. For a long time she served as clean up crew to the gore the pit created, being forever scarred at the sight of entrails and other such horrors. As she grew, she was given worse jobs, such as even forcing fighters out into the ring. Time lost all meaning and everything seemed to mesh into a red blur. Again, everything seemed fine. Alas, it never seems to last. The leaders of the ring had decided she was well and old enough to fight, even if it was a clown fight. But Grey had a fighting spirit, and the though of dying scared her to murder. The leaders soon found she was good enough to make champion. and so she spent about four years like this, it being her claws carving the gore. Her claws became stained red, and while she was not often hurt, the scars rapidly collected. During her second or third fight, a desperate opponent took a hard swipe at her throat, almost killing her. That was the last time an opponent got that close to her, but it scared her to the very core.

After about four years of Grey as champion, the government discovered the operation. Ring fighting had been illegal for many years, so they stormed the place, setting free tens of captured fighters. Grey was in the middle of a fight, and everyone freaked out as armored figures streamed into the arena. Grey acted like a cornered wolf, attacking those that got close first, then escaping narrowly after. She had taken a couple shots of tranquilizer and spent a few days passed out in the surrounding woods. After awakening she fled desperately to where her pack used to den, seeking shelter from the helicopters and troops prowling the forest, looking for the killer wolf. Delerious, she wandered for days without eating or drikning, barely stopping to rest. She collapsed in the den, depressed by the lack of her family. And it was here a packless werewolf found her, half dead. He picked her up and brought her to his truck, carefully, and brought her to the clinic in Little Mere. They learned quickly they had to keep her tied up, or risk personal injury.

It took months, but finally the wolf, whos name was Rain, finally got her accustomed to him, enough so to get close and chat. From there they started building a life together. Rain shared his dream of becoming a famous writer with her and even showed her his book. He also made sure she got counseling, sometimes twice daily, so that she could adapt to a normal life. Together they started the Tea shop, creating a safe environment they could both thrive in. They took a decaying building and fixed it up, collapsing half of the second floor to make a garden and saving the other half for living quarters. In the ground floor, they build their shop. Over time they built a meaningful relationship, and got married soon after the shop's second anniversary of being open. Unfortunately, around the time of the shop's fifth anniversary, Rain was diagnosed with cancer, and after a long fight, succumbed to it. Since then, Grey has run the shop alone, growing her garden and becoming ever more comfortable with and accustomed to everyday life in Little Mere.

Other:
*She loves chocolate and can make a mean hot coco, its one of her specialty dishes.
*Her store not only serves Tea, but also several other types of drinks like coffee. The store also serves pastries and other meals(Though she's not a great cook and often burns them). Live plants and herbs are sold as well. All the different types of teas are made from home grown plants.
*She takes explicit care so that none of her fur ends up in her customer's food.
*She shares the store with an overweight tabby tom cat she has dubbed Charlie. He loves sitting in the sunshine in the bay windows at the front of the store or taking up a customer's lap.
*Rain's book is about a dragon and an elven princess banding together on an adventure to rescue a knight from a warlord. Its title is "Scales for Armor" and it is wildly available in bookstores in and out of Little Mere. Grey even has the signed, original manuscript in her living quarters. The pair used the royalties to buy and fix up the tea shop.

Oh and, @Sunnycat4, something on my mind was, wouldn't it be a little redundant having two of the same types of stores around such as Black Forest as well as Misty Mountain? Cat works in a place that sounds like it's the exact same thing, only one is coffee shop and the other is a tea shop? If you'd like, I could change Cat's job?

True, true. Perhaps, instead of a coffie shop, Cat could work at a bakery that also does coffee. That would work better anyways, Misty Mountain doesn't really serve baked goods. What do you think?

I can work with that, a bakery is an easy switcheroo. Technically, where Cat works right now is a bistro (that's like a small, novelty-type restaurant) where she's a barista, but I can easily make it into a bakery instead and still have Cat be a barista. We'll make the best choc-chip muffins in the city xD

I forgot to mention it in my character sheet, but Averi’s shop has a forge in the back for their metalworking, so it might be an ideal workplace for Kyrialen! Averi’s pretty tolerant of others too, so having him apprentice at their shop is a possibility I’d be open to exploring if you wanted.
